Publication number: 20140196570Abstract: A lightened rotating member for a machine. The lightened member includes a plurality of radially machined penetrations within at least one main bearing support journal of the rotating member. The plurality of penetrations is formed around the circumference of the main bearing journal face, with the penetration centerline directed radially toward the rotating member's axial centerline. An even number of penetrations may be utilized with minimal adverse effect on the balance of the rotating member. Odd numbers of penetrations may require subsequent rebalancing. The rotating member may be any rotating member that utilizes one or more main bearing support journals.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 14, 2013Publication date: July 17, 2014Applicant: FTS INTERNATIONALInventors: Tony M. Patent number: 8105055Abstract: A suction manifold mounting for a fluid end of a high pressure pump having a frame assembly. The fluid end has a body forging with a detachable suction manifold plate. The plate is pivotally attached at opposed ends to a pair of swivel arms through a cooperating pair of yoke limbs. The swivel arms are rigidly affixed to the frame member. When attachment bolts are removed from the manifold plate, the plate may pivot from a first closed position wherein the mounting holes in the plate are aligned with mounting holes in the forging to a second open position.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 2009Date of Patent: January 31, 2012Assignee: Fiac Tech Services, LLCInventor: Tony M. Publication number: 20110142701Abstract: This invention relates to a method of fabricating or machining the fluid end of a high pressure pump and a fluid end produced by the method. The method includes sculpturing the front side of the fluid end which results in a non-planar surface. In this manner the internal stresses can be varied at critical points within the fluid end.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 10, 2009Publication date: June 16, 2011Applicant: FRAC TECH SERVICES, LTD.Inventor: Tony M. Patent number: 6850462Abstract: A method and device are shown for detecting the characteristics of a cement annulus between a casing in a borehole and the surrounding earth formations in a slickline cement bond logging operation. An acoustic logging tool is utilized which produces a pure signal downhole. The received acoustically transmitted energy produces electrical signals indicative of both the amplitude of the received energy and variable density log data. Both the amplitude data and the variable density log data are captured in memory downhole by the use of a time amplitude matrix which stores a limited number of data points for producing a cement bond log at the well surface.Type: GrantFiled: February 19, 2002Date of Patent: February 1, 2005Assignee: Probe Technology Services, Inc.Inventors: Ronald E. McDaniel, Tony M. Small, Dwight A. Bloomfield

Patent number: 4633248Abstract: A well logging sonde adapted to be lowered in a wellbore which incorporates an improved shock isolation system is set forth in the preferred and illustrated embodiment. An electronic support wafer or circuit board mount within the sonde is enclosed within the outer steel case or housing. Shock mounting is achieved by imposing a spring member having oval cross section turns between the support wafer and the surrounding housing. The wafer has a shallow circumferential groove cooperatively shaped for receiving the spring member. A preferred material for the spring member is beryllium copper alloy.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 1984Date of Patent: December 30, 1986Assignee: Halliburton CompanyInventor: Tony M. Small

Patent number: 4504736Abstract: This invention relates to a logging tool housing construction for use with gamma ray logging devices. The tool housing is constructed of materials designed for maximum transmission of low energy natural gamma ray energies (E=150-300 Kev). The housing material which encloses a gamma ray detector is a tubular, filament wound graphite composition and has a tubular metal sleeve for wear protection. The core and tubular metal sleeve are constructed and interconnected to meet mechanical and pressure requirements for oil well logging use.Type: GrantFiled: June 16, 1982Date of Patent: March 12, 1985Assignee: Halliburton CompanyInventors: Harry D.
