    Abstract: A system and method for automatically resizing electronic documents based upon the original document page settings and the region of the outputting document rendering device. An electronic document is first received for output by an associated document rendering device. After receipt of the electronic document, the document rendering device retrieves its regional data. The regional data is used to determine the regional paper sizes available for outputting documents. Based on the retrieved regional data and the original output size of the electronic document, a determination is made as to the appropriate available output paper size. The electronic document is then resized, corresponding available output paper size, and rendered, without requiring user intervention.

    Abstract: A system and method for managing memory for color transforms. Color input data representing a colorized electronic document is first received by a color management module and analyzed. The. color transformations required to complete processing of the color document is then determined. A plurality of lookup tables are then generated in system memory in accordance with the determined color transformations specified by the analysis of the color input data. A counter, corresponding to a lookup table for each request for a related color transform is then selectively incremented and decremented, based upon the output and determinations of the color management module. The color management module then selectively clears a lookup tables in the associated system memory when a corresponding counter value has been decremented to a selected level.

    Abstract: U-turn signaling device for vehicles is disclosed, which includes an LED array, and an integrated circuit control circuit which is produces LED activation control signals. These control signals activate the LED array to produce at least three modes of activity including a tail light mode, a turn mode and a U-turn mode in response to activation signals from the tail light, turn signal and U-turn signal respectively. The LED array can be a portable LED array, an embedded LED array or a double-sided LED array. The LED array is a preferably a combo LED array and further includes a monitor screen, which may be mounted in the dashboard of the vehicle, and may include a multi-position turn signal switch. Also disclosed is a flexible U-turn signal device, which may be activated by a wireless remote control switch.

    Abstract: A system and method for reserving an output media source in a shared document processing device environment. A source reservation request is received from an associated user containing an output media source selection from among multiple available sources on a document processing device and authorization information. A document processing request, representing a selected document processing operation, is then received. This request includes data representing the identification of the source requesting the document processing operation and data representing a desired output media source. The document processing request data is then tested against the source reservation request data. Based upon the testing, the document processing operation is selectively processed by the associated document processing device.

    Abstract: An emergency stop signaling device for vehicles is disclosed, including a deceleration sensor which produces deceleration values, an integrated circuit control circuit which receives the deceleration values and produces LED activation control signals. An LED array lights in response to the LED activation control signals from the Integrated Circuit control circuit to produce a light pattern which is distinguishable from an ordinary braking signal. The deceleration sensor is preferably a digital deceleration sensor. The LED array is a flexible LED array, a portable LED array, a linear LED array or a circular LED or a combination of these. The IC control circuit produces signals which activate the LED array to a plurality modes of activity including a tail light mode, a stop light mode, and a panic stop mode.

    Abstract: The Bluetooth tire pressure monitor system (10) is provided to mount on the various tires (11) of a vehicle, The system (10) includes a pressure sensor (12), a signal emitter (13), a display screen (14) and a signal receiver (15). The pressure sensor (12) and emitter (13) are integrated with a customized inflating valve (21) and installed in the tire (11). The signal receiver (15) and display screen/user interface (14) are placed in the driver's compartment (16) of the vehicle in a highly visible location, usually on the dashboard. The pressure sensor (12) senses the pressure in the tire (11). The signal emitter (13) collects and converts the pressure signal from the pressure sensor (12) and transmits the signal wirelessly (using the Bluetooth protocol) to signal receiver (15) which converts the signal and delivers it to the user interface/display screen (14) which displays the signal.

A department code is entered on the print dialog, and a print command is submitted while concurrently sending the department code for validation. A validation step is performed to determine whether the department code is valid. A print job is generated if the entered department code is valid. If the department code is invalid, the user is prompted to enter a valid department code.
