  • Patent number: 9165061
Abstract: Presented are systems and methods for identifying information about a particular entity including acquiring electronic documents having unstructured text, that are selected based on one or more search terms from a plurality of terms related to the particular entity. Tokenizing the acquired documents to form a data matrix and then calculating a plurality of eigenvectors, using the data matrix and the transpose of the data matrix. The variance is then acquired for determining the amount of intra-clustering between the documents and then the acquired documents are clustered using some of the eigenvectors and the variance.

  • Patent number: 9020952
Abstract: Presented are systems and methods for creating a set of signatures including acquiring a data set and converting the data set into a plurality of data matrices. The system determines a prime number and determines a plurality of primitive roots to the prime number. The system calculates a template matrix using a first and second primitive root, of the plurality of primitive roots, and selects a data matrix property of interest. The system calculates a first hash function for each of the data matrices to create a first signature for each data matrix such that a main set of signatures is formed, wherein the first hash function is calculated using said property of interest, the prime number, and the template matrix. The system generates a main set of signatures based on the first hash functions, wherein the main set of signatures comprises a first signature for each data matrix.

  • Patent number: 8416150
Abstract: A method and system for determining a position for an interstitial diffuser for use in a multi-component display is disclosed. Embodiments utilize a camera to capture images of visual output from one or more display screens of a multi-component display, where each image may be taken with an interstitial diffuser at a different position between the display screens. The images may be used to analyze the Moiré interference and blur of the visual output at each position of the diffuser. Moiré interference values for each diffuser position may be determined by processing images captured of the visual output while each display screen displays a white image. Blur values for each diffuser position may be determined by comparing images captured of the visual output with a reference image.

  • Publication number: 20070029395
Abstract: A thermostatic mixing valve 10 including a valve body 11 having a first fluid 12 inlet, a second fluid inlet 13 and a mixed fluid outlet 14, a mixing chamber 16 located between the respective fluid inlets 12,13 and the fluid outlet 14. A thermostatic element 15 is located for exposure to mixed fluid and a piston 17 is arranged for movement within the valve body in response to expansion or contraction of the thermostatic element 15. The piston 17 throttles flow of fluid through the first fluid inlet 12 into the mixing chamber 16 by varying its position relative to a first seat 33, and through the second fluid inlet 13 into the mixing chamber 16 by varying its position relative to a second seat formed as a bore 35 into which the piston 17 can progressively enter.

  • Publication number: 20070023535
Abstract: Thermostatic mixing valve has a valve body, a cold fluid inlet, a hot fluid inlet, and a fluid outlet. Mixing chamber is located between the respective fluid inlets and the fluid outlet. Thermostatic element is located in or adjacent to the mixing chamber and is arranged to contact a piston at one end and via a mixing tube the valve body at the other end. Piston regulates flow through the fluid inlets into the mixing chamber. The piston is can move due to continued expansion of the thermostatic element after the piston has closed off the second fluid inlet. Valve body has an internal thread with which a thread on mixing tube permits adjustment of the relative position of the thermostatic element within the valve body and hence the set temperature of the thermostatic mixing valve.
