  • Publication number: 20100245538
Abstract: The method of transmitting an indication of presence of a subject comprises the steps of detecting the presence of a subject in a first geographical area, transmitting an indication of presence of the subject to a remote system if the subject is present in the first geographical area, detecting the presence of a subject in a second geographical area, and transmitting realistic live images of the subject to the remote system if the subject is present in the second geographical area.

  • Publication number: 20060258295
Abstract: A method for collecting communication system information from a communication system including a controller and one or more communication devices operating therein includes transmitting a request to the one or more communication devices requesting information regarding a quality of signal(s) received at the one or more communication devices along with geographical location information from the one or more communication devices, and transmitting automatically from the one or more communication devices the signal quality information along with the geographical location information to the controller. A communication device which can automatically provide signal quality and location information is also described, as well as a communication system that can collect signal quality and geographical location information from one or more communication devices operating within the communication system.

  • Publication number: 20050203890
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses to cancel database queries from a web application user interface in a networked database application. In one embodiment, the method includes receiving a user request to cancel a query previously sent to a database and calling an application programming interface (API) provided by the database to terminate one or more statements running on the database, the one or more statements being related to the query.

  • Publication number: 20050124468
Abstract: A portable in-place beveled multilevel cushioned mat that allows simulated jogging and running. This cushioned mat comprises an upwardly inclined mid-foot level and an elevated heel level having a heel receiving surface adapted to receive a foot of a runner. It is made of a closed or open cellular foam system from polymeric elastomers. The mat may be made of a foam core with polymer coated shell or molded with one or more than one type of foam system.

  • Patent number: 6595586
Abstract: a seating structure provides improved comfort and includes a single, pair, or multiple numbers of moving seating assemblies with independent platforms, especially suited for the automotive or aircraft seating environments. A motion mechanism provides each seating assembly with at least one of total rocking, vertical up and down movement, lateral, and limited slight turning movement and in one embodiment generally constrains the seat members of the seat assemblies from interference with each other. The seating assemblies are provided at a neutral angle that corresponds to the particular application of the seat. Independent up and down movement, and rocking, improves seating comfort health, and safety especially as applied to a seating environment, where a user is likely to be seated for an extended period, such as in an automobile or aircraft.

  • Publication number: 20020172310
Abstract: The present invention provides a jitter attenuator that has a phase locked loop (PLL), the PLL having a programmable bandwidth setting. The jitter attenuator also has a first-in/first-out (FIFO) buffer for storing data, a write clock for providing a write pulse to the FIFO, a read clock for providing a read pulse to the FIFO, and a pointer generator for controlling the programmable bandwidth in response to the difference between the frequencies of the write and read clocks.

  • Patent number: 6357827
Abstract: A portable seat provides improved comfort and includes a single, pair, or multiple numbers of moving seating assemblies. A motion mechanism provides each seating assembly with at least one of total rocking, vertical, lateral, and turning movement and in one embodiment generally constrains the seat members of the seat assemblies from interference with each other. The seating assemblies are provided at a neutral angle that corresponds to the particular application of the seat. The amount of rocking movement and/or vertical movement is based on the neutral angle. In concert, the neutral angle orientation, rocking movement, and vertical movement cause the weight supported by an occupant's seat bones, posterior, and thighs to be optimally distributed on the seating assembly, improving seating comfort as applied to a given seating environment.
