  • Patent number: 8970631
Abstract: A signal discriminating and monitoring circuit provides a full black detection circuit which detects a full black signal input during the change of the video signal and holds the detection result of the full black signal only during the specified time period. When a full black video signal is detected in the full black detection circuit, the signal discriminating and monitoring circuit detects whether the resolution of the video signal input has changed by determining whether the frequency of the horizontal synchronization signal included in the video signal of the next frame to be input changed above a preset value. When a change in the resolution of the video signal is detected, the change detected signal indicates that the detection result is output. When a scalar circuit receives the change detected signal, the video display signal is output as a constant value in order to set the display video in the static state.

  • Publication number: 20130249780
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to correct brightness irregularities of color lights. A projection display apparatus includes a light source that emits light, DMs that divide the light emitted from the light source into a plurality of color lights, LCDs associated respectively with the color lights separated by the separating means, for modulating the color lights depending on an image signal, an XDP that combines the color lights modulated respectively by the LCDs, and a projection lens that projects light combined by the XDP. The projection display apparatus holds correction values for correcting brightness irregularities of the color lights which are caused by the prism.

  • Patent number: 8345172
Abstract: A display device uses a field sequential color scheme. Assume that a panel video writing period defines a period from the start of writing image data into a display panel to the completion of displaying the image on the basis of the image data in a sub-frame. A light source driving circuit generates a driving signal for gradually increasing the luminance of a light source of a color corresponding to a displayed image in the present sub-frame from zero to a predetermined value within the panel video writing period of the present sub-frame and for gradually decreasing the luminance of the light source from the predetermined value to zero within the panel video writing period of the next sub-frame. A light source driver drives the light source to emit light in accordance with the driving signal.

  • Patent number: 7812888
Abstract: A synchronization processing circuit separates synchronizing signals from an input video signal, provides the synchronizing signals to a detection circuit, and further provides the input video signal that has no synchronizing signal to a scaler circuit. The detection circuit detects the horizontal synchronization frequency, the vertical synchronization frequency, the synchronization polarity, the synchronization type (Sep, CS, or GSync), the scan type, the image line number, the synchronization type (TriSync), and the vertical synchronization width from the synchronizing signals. A CPU determines the type of input video signal based on the detection results of the detection circuit. Based on the determination results, the CPU sets the signal processing for the input video signal in the synchronization processing circuit and in the scaler circuit.

  • Patent number: 5922426
Abstract: The present invention provides a paper feed roll adapted for office machines which exhibits a high friction coefficient suitable for the conveyance of copying paper, printing paper, original, etc. and less abrasion. A process for the preparation of such a paper feed roll is also provided. Further, a silicone rubber composition suitable for the foregoing paper feed roll having an excellent formability to roll is provided. In particular, a novel silicone rubber-coated paper feed roll is provided, which is prepared from a silica-containing silicone rubber composition. The silicone rubber obtained by curing the silica-containing silicone rubber composition and composes the paper feed roll has an impact resilience of not less than 80% after curing as determined by JIS K6301, a permanent compression set of not more than 4% under a condition of 25% compression at 70.degree. C. for 22 hours and a 100% modulus of from 0.3 to 1.0 MPa.
