  • Publication number: 20100059474
Abstract: The invention relates to a closure cap for a container for receiving medical liquids, in particular a BFS vial which is produced by a blow-fill seal process, and to a BFS container with such a closure cap. The closure cap according to the invention has a cover part and an edge part, with an injection part arranged in the cover part. The injection part has an outwardly directed connection part with a conical recess for receiving the cone stem of a needleless injection syringe in a seal-forming manner, and an inwardly directed closure part which has a self-sealing membrane for closing the recess of the connection part. The self-sealing membrane is slotted. The closure cap according to the invention allows a liquid to be injected without use of an injection needle.

  • Publication number: 20090054865
Abstract: The invention relates to a closing cap for containers that are filled with medical liquids. The closing cap includes removal and injection sites. The removal site has a first opening for removing the medical liquid and is obturated by a first pierceable self-sealing membrane. The injection site includes a second opening for injecting an additive and is obturated by a second pierceable self-sealing membrane. The first and second membranes are configured differently.

  • Publication number: 20080004594
Abstract: A flexible multi-chamber container for preparation of medical mixed solutions includes at least three chambers separated from each other by leaktight seams. The chambers are designated to be filled with different solutions and are separated from each other by leaktight seams. At least a part of the first leaktight seam is provided with a separation zone to be opened for fluid transfer from the first chamber into the second chamber. At least a part of the second leaktight seam is provided with a separation zone to be opened for fluid transfer from the second chamber into the third chamber. The leaktight seams are arranged and the separation zones are formed such that, in use of the container for preparation of the medical mixed solution, the first separation and second separation zones are opened in a sequential order. The first zone is opened before the second separation zone is opened. Thus, the components are mixed one after another in a predetermined sequential order.

  • Publication number: 20070060902
Abstract: The invention relates to a connector for medical liquid-containing packages, in particular to infusion or transfusion bags comprising a connection element (1) provided with a channel-shaped opening (1c) in which a self-sealing membrane (8) is arranged. A breakable part (17) which is connected to the connection piece closes the channel-shaped opening. Above the membrane (8), said connection element is embodied in the form a connection piece (13) comprising an internal cone (14) and external thread (15), the membrane (8) being sealed for receiving a syringe cone shaft. The inventive connector makes it possible to inject an active substance by means of a conventional Luer lock syringe devoid of an injection cannula (needle).

  • Publication number: 20050215943
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a connector for packaging containing medical fluids, in particular infusion or transfusion bags, including a tubular connection part for receiving a spike for the withdrawal of fluid, and having a lower opening on the packaging side and an upper opening on the connection side. A self-sealing membrane, which is pierced by the spike, is located in the connection part. The membrane has an upper, annular section leading into a lower, plate-shaped section, said annular section of the membrane surrounding the spike in a sealing manner, when the latter pierces the plate-shaped section. The membrane acts as a guide for the spike and also reseals the connector, once the spike has been removed.
