  • Patent number: 11169172
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a measuring system for measuring a movable object, for example a lateral guide on the transport path of a casting strand in a metallurgical installation. The system has at least one light source (110) for emitting parallel light beams (130) and a receiving device (120) with a sensor field for receiving the light beams. An evaluation device is used to evaluate the light beams received by the sensor field. In order to be able to make the evaluation simpler and faster, the receiving device is designed to generate an image of the sensor field having the positions of the sensors of the sensor field, which are assigned to the light beams not influenced by the object, and having the positions of the sensors of the sensor field, which are assigned to the light beams which are emitted, but are influenced by the object. The distances between the individual sensors are likewise known on the basis of the known resolution of the sensor field.

  • Publication number: 20210305872
Abstract: The disclosure relates to an electrical machine for a drive system of an electrically driven aircraft and its winding system. In particular, the disclosure relates to an interconnection unit for interconnecting the windings of the winding system. For electrically connecting winding arrangements of the winding system, the interconnection unit has a connection arrangement with large number of contact points which are configured and arranged on the interconnection unit such that these contact points of the interconnection unit may be connected to contact points of the winding arrangements to be contact-connected. The connection arrangement furthermore has a large number of electrical connection sections, wherein a respective connection section connects two of the contact points to one another. This interconnection unit may be contact-connected by way of its contact points to corresponding contact points of the winding arrangements, so that a desired winding system may be constructed in a simple manner.

  • Patent number: 10967409
Abstract: The invention relates to a device and a method for cooling a roll. The roll concerned can be a roller in a roll stand or a measuring roll. The device comprises a cooling shell having a cross section in the shape of a section of a circular arc, for covering a surface region of the roll (200), wherein, in the region of an edge of the cooling shell, a bearing is formed with a pivot joint (120) with an axis of rotation running perpendicular to the circular arc-shaped cross-section, for pivoting the cooling shell about the axis of rotation. According to the invention, in order to ensure that the size of the cooling gap during the rolling operation or during the operation of a measuring roll is always autonomously optimally set, the bearing has a degree of freedom in radial direction r with respect to the circular arc-shaped cross-section of the cooling shell, such that the cooling shell is mounted in the bearing in such a way as to be freely movable in the radial direction.

  • Publication number: 20210086500
Abstract: A device for printing on hollow bodies comprises a mandrel wheel and a segment wheel. The mandrel wheel has its own motor separate from a motor of the segment wheel. In association with the segment wheel, along a circumferential line thereof, a plurality of plate cylinders are positioned or at least are positionable radially against this segment wheel. An inking unit is associated with each plate cylinder. Each plate cylinder, and a roller arranged in the associated inking unit, are each driven in rotation independently by a motor. The motor of the mandrel wheel and the motor of the segment wheel and the motor of the relevant plate cylinder and the motor of the roller arranged in the associated inking unit are connected to one another for data exchange by a common data bus. The relevant motors each have their own drive controller and their own power part connected to the data bus. Control data for the relevant motors, transported via the data bus, form a virtual guide axis.

  • Patent number: 10323564
Abstract: A system including startup, load, flow, and peak estimation modules. The startup module, during a startup period or in response to a startup of the engine, receives a temperature signal and generates a first condition signal. The load module determines a load on the engine and generates a second condition signal. The flow module, if the first condition signal indicates a temperature of the engine is less than a first predetermined temperature and if the second condition signal indicates the load is less than a predetermined threshold, operates a pump to circulate coolant during the startup period. The peak estimation module estimates a temperature of a hottest metal location on the engine. The flow module increases a speed of the pump if the temperature of the hottest metal location is greater than a second predetermined temperature or the load is greater than or equal to the predetermined threshold.
