  • Publication number: 20170183997
Abstract: In a method of reducing pollutants of a combustion engine, exhaust gas, generated by a cylinder of the combustion engine, is fed to an exhaust gas aftertreatment system as a function of a predefined condition solely via a first exhaust channel which communicates with a first one of first and second exhaust valves of the cylinder. The first exhaust channel is hereby coated, at least in part, by a thermally insulating layer selected such that a heat input is transmitted to the exhaust gas aftertreatment system which heat input is greater than a heat input in a second exhaust channel communicating with a second one of the first and second exhaust valves. The predefined condition is defined as a function of a coolant temperature of the combustion engine.

  • Patent number: 7810371
Abstract: An arrangement and process for calibrating and/or equilibrating single-channel and multi-channel liquid handling devices, wherein a dispensing volume of a liquid is dispensed via the dispensing channels of a liquid handling device into a measurement chamber of a measurement chamber carrier, each measurement chamber being associated with a dispensing channel, and the individual measurement chambers are hermetically sealed successively relative to the environment and are connected to a pressure chamber under an operating pressure so that an equilibrium pressure occurs that is relevant to the respective dispensing volume.

  • Publication number: 20090204532
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for visualizing trading data may be used together with a graphical user interface of a computer system. The method performs the displaying of a price range including graduated price levels for a tradable item. Data of a stop order is received and evaluated to determine price levels associated with the stop order. Further, a graphical representation of the stop order is displayed in the price range according to the evaluated data. The method may be stored as computer-executable instructions. The instructions are executable by a processor of a computer system which may include a memory for storing the instructions and a display to be used for the visualization. Moreover, a computer-readable medium may include further computer-executable instructions which may perform creating of new price levels in the price range corresponding to each determined price level and calculating executable order volumes for each price level.

  • Patent number: 7553452
Abstract: Procedure for equilibration of the delivery volumes of a multi-channel metering apparatus with an arrangement of independently controlled dispensing channels 1.1-1.n, delivering individual volumes of dispensing fluid to cavities 3.1.1-3.n.n, where measured values relevant to the individual delivery volumes are measured for the same control value and from which an adjustment value is specified with a tolerance band and the control value is adjusted for dispensing channels 1.1-1.n, the measured values of which lie outside the tolerance band. The invention also applies to an apparatus for implementing the procedure.

  • Patent number: 7379832
Abstract: Multi-channel metering apparatus with automatic calibration, where the individual dispensing channels 1, the micro-valves 4 of which are connected with the outlets of a distributor 8, 13 or 15 whose inlet is filled with fluid by a vessel 9, 14 or 17 thus connected, are able to be calibrated in relation to each other in that between the vessel 9, 14 or 17 and the inlet of the distributor 8, 13 or 15 a flow sensor 10 is arranged which for calibration during delivery of the fluid via a respective nozzle 2 of a respective dispensing channel 1 records the flow and generates signals which are respectively assigned to a defined opening time of a micro-valve 4 and a specific dispensing channel 1 and thus stored allows for individual control of the micro-valves 4 in order to equalize the tolerances of the dispensing channels 1.
