  • Publication number: 20240039211
Abstract: A housing assembly for an electrical connector that can be plugged together with a mating connector along a plugging direction includes a connector housing, a mating aid arranged on the connector housing and movable between an initial position and a final position, and a securing element arranged on the mating aid and movable between a secured position and a release position. The mating aid has a drive section engaging the mating connector to move the mating connector into a state in which the mating connector is plugged together with the electrical connector. The securing element in the secured position engages the connector housing and in the release position is disengaged from the connector housing. The securing element in the secured position is accessible for the mating connector from outside of the housing assembly and is movable to the release position by the mating connector.

  • Patent number: 8777640
Abstract: The present invention relates to an electrical connector with an electrically insulating contact carrier and with at least one electrically conducting contact element which is held in the contact carrier. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a manufacturing method for manufacturing a connector of this type. Changes in dimension in the geometry of the contact carrier and also fluctuations in spacing and geometry in the enclosing shielding cause impedance inhomogeneities in the signal propagation direction that adversely influence the signal quality. Furthermore, it may be necessary to purposefully set the impedance so as to differ from the nominal impedance.

  • Patent number: 7811103
Abstract: The invention relates to an interrupter for an electrical wire 9, having a first terminal and a second terminal insulated electrically from the first terminal and also a contact 3, which takes the form of a separate component from the terminals and is provided to produce a conductive connection between the first and second terminals, the contact 3 being capable of being brought by a linear movement from a first position connecting the terminals into a second position in which the terminals are disconnected, an actuator being provided to move the contact and a lever 5 being provided, which acts on the contact 3 by means of a joint 14, 16, 17 and is provided to transmit force from the actuator to the contact 3.
