  • Patent number: 7159486
Abstract: A joint arrangement in a shift mechanism for a motor vehicle includes a coupling element cooperating with a gear shift lever, a mounting element joinable to a gear lever carrier, and a damping element arranged between the coupling element and the mounting element. The damping element includes cooperating first and second slide surfaces, which, by a relative movement, damp vibrations and substantially prevent vibrations from being transmitted between the mounting element and the coupling element.

  • Publication number: 20040074329
Abstract: The invention relates to a joint arrangement (1) in a shift mechanism for a motor vehicle, comprising a coupling element (2) cooperating with a gear lever (11), a mounting element (3) joinable to a gear lever carrier (17), and a damping element (4) arranged between the coupling element (2) and the mounting element (3). The damping element (4) comprises cooperating first and second slide surfaces (18, 19), which, by a relative movement, damp vibrations and substantially prevent vibrations from being transmitted between the mounting element (3) and the coupling element (2).

  • Patent number: 6477911
Abstract: Gear shift mechanism for a vehicle gearbox, comprising a gear lever (1, 7) pivotable between forward and rear end positions via an intermediate neutral position. A pivot element (22) is pivotable about an axis (c), which is located between and fixed relative to the pivot axis (a) of the gear lever and the lower end of the gear lever. A pair of springs (29) are set between the pivot element and said end of the gear lever so as to make up together with the pivot element an over center mechanism, which forces the gear lever towards either of the end positions.

  • Patent number: 4982619
Abstract: A gear shift mechanism for tilt cab trucks comprises a lever-receiving structure disposed on the engine/transmission structure. The lever-receiving structure includes a ball joint. The shift lever is removably received in a socket of the ball. When the cab is tilted, the lever becomes detached from the ball joint and is centered in its through-hole in the cab floor or engine hood by bands or wires and tensile springs, which are fixed or tensioned between the lever and the edges of the through-hole.
