  • Patent number: 6485370
Abstract: In an arrangement for mounting a tubular member, such as a part of a dynamic damper or a dust boot, made of elastomeric material onto a shaft member, an annular projection is formed integrally on the inner circumferential surface of the tubular sleeve member, and an endless band made of relatively rigid material such as steel is either insert molded in or fitted on the tubular sleeve member so as to surround the annular projection. The outer diameter of the shaft member is smaller than the inner diameter of the endless band, but is greater than the inner diameter of the annular projection. Therefore, the elastomeric tubular member can be firmly fitted onto a shaft easily and economically. Because the endless band can be made of a seamless solid ring or a welded ring, it is more reliable in use than conventional steel band fasteners. Since the endless band is uniform over its entire circumferential length, it is free from any rotational imbalance.

  • Patent number: 5327989
Abstract: In a four-wheeled buggy which has a pair of front wheels and a pair of rear wheels and a seat arranged around the middle of the vehicle to enable the rider to operate the vehicle in a sitting posture thereon, a pair of right and left main frames are two-dimensionally bent upwardly at the forward sections thereof and adapted to support at the front ends thereof a front wheel axle so as to prevent a front wheel driving device from hitting ground. The rearward sections of the main frames extend horizontally rearwardly to define a lowermost height from ground and are adapted to support a power unit behind the seat close to the rear wheels so as to obtain mass concentration.

  • Patent number: 4749205
Abstract: A steering system in a motor vehicle having a frame includes a swing arm by which steerable wheels are swingably supported on the frame, a steering shaft extending substantially vertically in the frame and angularly movable about its own axis, a steering arm fixed to a lower end of the steering shaft, a connecting rod having one end pivotally coupled to the steering arm, a pivot arm swingable in unison with the swing arm and operatively coupled to an opposite end of the connecting rod, and a pair of tie rods having ends pivotally coupled to the pivot arm and opposite ends on which the steerable wheels are angularly movably supported. A point where the connecting rod is coupled to the steering arm is positioned in a space range which is swept by the swing arm when it is angularly moved about the shaft.
