  • Publication number: 20050224278
Abstract: A small gap is formed between a worm shaft 3 and a second bearing 20, so that the worm shaft can be tilted relative to the inner ring 20a of the second bearing 20 without fail when preloaded by a torsion spring 14. An elastic member 41 is provided in at least portion of a circumferential groove 40 in the small gap. The worm shaft 3 and the inner ring 20a of the second bearing 20 are not in contact with each other, and their metallic clank in the small gap can be prevented. By providing a projecting portion(s) 3b on one side or both sides, with respect to the axial direction, of the circumferential groove 40, the small gap between the worm shaft 3 and the inner ring 20a of the second bearing 20 can be made large, and it is possible to enlarge the range over which the worm shaft 3 can swing.

  • Publication number: 20050183902
Abstract: In an electric power steering apparatus that generates an auxiliary steering torque by a brushless motor in response to a steering torque applied on a steering wheel and transmits it to an output shaft of a steering mechanism while reducing it by means of a reduction gear, the apparatus comprises a rotor (10) to which a cylindrical permanent magnet for rotational driving (12) and a member to be detected (13) for detection of a rotational angle of the rotor are attached and a cylindrical stator (30) opposed to the rotor in which a laminated core (16) on which a coil is wound, detection means (17) for detecting the rotational angle of the rotor by the member to be detected and a terminal (19) for providing connection to the coil are integrally formed by resin molding. At least one bearing (8, 9) for rotatably supporting the rotor is disposed radially inside the stator and between the permanent magnet for rotational driving and the member to be detected.

  • Patent number: 6884538
Abstract: A fuel cell separator containing conductive material and epoxy resin is provided. In the fuel cell, the epoxy resin is made of solid epoxy resin whose epoxy equivalent weight is 300-500. Further, according to another fuel cell separator, raw materials containing not lower than 60 weight % of conductive material and 34-40 weight % of resin material are kneaded, and adjusted to have a flow index of 5-20%. A kneaded compound is compression-molded so that a fuel cell separator is obtained.
