  • Patent number: 5490044
Abstract: In a terminal assembly for electronic and electric equipment, the terminal member is formed into the shape of letter-C by being provided with a middle piece, and first and second arms extending from two opposite ends of the middle piece at an acute angle and at an obtuse angle, respectively. The first and second arms are fitted into a retaining window of a casing to secure the terminal member onto the casing. The first arm is reduced in thickness from its middle part toward its free end or is otherwise increased of its flexibility so as to form a spring portion. A terminal screw is threaded into the middle piece toward the first arm at an oblique angle. A connecting electrode of a circuit board received in the casing resiliently engages the spring portion of the terminal member.

  • Patent number: 4834134
Abstract: A two-way delivery valve structure of a fuel discharge valve in a fuel injection pump has a valve holder formed in an interior part thereof with an oil chamber communicating with a fuel injection pipe, a valve seat secured in the holder and formed in an interior part thereof with a fuel outlet conduit communicating with a pressure chamber, an discharge valve communicating with the pressure chamber and for engaging with and disengaging from an opening of the fuel outlet conduit so as to open and close the conduit, and a two-way delivery valve mounted to the fuel discharge valve and provided in an interior part thereof with a valve chest communicating with the fuel discharge valve, the two-way delivery valve being provided in the valve chest with a movable valve comprising a check valve for opening and closing a communicating portion communicating with the oil chamber, a valve casing constituting the two-way delivery valve being provided separately from the fuel discharge valve, the valve casing and fuel discha

  • Patent number: 4736721
Abstract: A boost compensator for controlling the position of a control rack of a fuel injection pump to supply fuel to an internal combustion engine with a supercharger in response to boost pressure to be applied to the engine. The control rack is moved in a direction increasing an amount of fuel to be supplied to the engine, by angular movement of a main lever in one direction during forward movement of a push rod in response to an increase in the boost pressure from a first to a second set value. As the boost pressure reaches a third set value higher than the second set value, the push rod is brought into engagement with an auxiliary lever biased by a return spring.

  • Patent number: 4440135
Abstract: A fuel injection system includes fuel injection valves arranged to be supplied with part of pressurized fuel which is being supplied to or has been supplied to a fuel injection pump from a fuel feed pump. The pressurized fuel supplied to the injection valves acts upon the nozzle needles against their lifting motions to cause the valves to operate with higher valve opening pressure. The supply of the pressurized fuel to the valves is controlled as a function of an operating condition of an engine associated with the fuel injection system. For instance, the fuel supply is carried out when the rotational speed of the engine exceeds a predetermined rpm, so that higher valve opening pressure is available when the engine operates in a high rpm region.
