  • Patent number: 7195522
Abstract: An electrical connector comprises a connector housing having a retainer receiving opening and a terminal insertion opening. A retainer is receivable in the retainer receiving opening and has a terminal receiving aperture that substantially aligns with the terminal insertion opening to form a terminal receiving path. The retainer is moveable between a first position and a second position. An elastic lance extends from a lower edge of and substantially beneath the terminal receiving aperture. A shoulder is formed on an upper surface of the terminal receiving aperture opposite from the elastic lance. An engaging claw extending from the elastic lance extends into the terminal receiving path in the first position for temporarily engaging a terminal, and the shoulder extends into the terminal engaging path in the second position for permanently engaging the terminal. • Publication number: 20060205268
Abstract: An electrical connector includes a connector housing having a contact engaging section with contacts which engage mating contacts, and a wire holder holding wires connected to the contacts. The connector cover is capable of moving between partially engaged position and fully engaged position. The partially engaged position is the position in which a rear end of the wire holder is housed in and the fully engaged position is the position in which the rear end of the wire holder projects from a rear end opening. The connector housing has a first engaging section engaging a mating connector in the partially engaged position. The connector cover has a second engaging section engaging the first engaging section and restraining disengagement of the first engaging section from the mating connector in the fully engaged position.

  • Patent number: 7097483
Abstract: A waterproof connector assembly comprises a waterproof connector having an insulating housing with a housing main body and a mating member that extends from the housing main body. A sealing member is attached to an outer periphery of the mating member. A sealing member cover is supported on the insulating housing and is moveable between an initial position where the sealing member cover is positioned on an outside surface of the sealing member and a final position where the sealing member cover is positioned on an outside surface of the housing main body. A locking arm extends from the insulating housing and locks the sealing member cover in the initial position. A mating connector has an insulating mating connector housing with a mating member receiving recess. The locking arm locks the mating connector to the waterproof connector when the sealing member cover is in the final position.
