  • Patent number: 10030203
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for hydrocracking of petroleum heavy oil containing a heavy metal component, comprising a supplying step of supplying a raw material slurry containing the petroleum heavy oil and an iron-based catalyst as well as a hydrogen gas to a hydrocracking reactor; a hydrocracking step of hydrocracking the petroleum heavy oil in the hydrocracking reactor; a recovering step of recovering a residual oil component containing the iron-based catalyst from a product after the hydrocracking step; a disintegrating step of disintegrating the iron-based catalyst of the recovered residual oil component to acquire a disintegrated iron-based catalyst; and a resupplying step of resupplying a processed residual oil component containing the disintegrated iron-based catalyst to the hydrocracking reactor. At the disintegrating step, the iron-based catalyst may be pulverized by a pulverizing machine. The iron-based catalyst may be limonite.

  • Publication number: 20080156693
Abstract: To provide a process of hydrocracking heavy oil capable of obtaining cracked light oil with higher yields and/or milder reaction conditions than the conventionally proposed hydrocracking process in a suspended bed method using an iron-based catalyst when hydrocracking heavy oil containing heavy metal components produced in a refining process of crude oil into lighter oil. There are provided (1) a process of hydrocracking heavy oil containing heavy metal components produced in a refining process of crude oil, comprising a vacuum distillation step to obtain the heavy oil as distillation residue by vacuum distillation; and a reaction step to hydrocrack the heavy oil in the presence of an iron-based catalyst in a suspended bed reactor, wherein the distillation is conducted at 350° C. or less in the vacuum distillation step, (2) in the preceding process, reaction conditions in the reaction step are a reaction pressure of 60-160 kg/cm2; a reaction temperature of 430-455° C.; and a reaction time of 30-180 minutes.

  • Patent number: 4565622
Abstract: A method for the liquefaction of brown coal which comprises effecting primary hydrogenation at a temperature and pressure sufficient to promote the efficient hydrogenation of a slurry prepared by adding an iron-based catalyst and a slurrying solvent to brown coal; distilling all or a portion of the primary hydrogenation product, whereby a naphtha fraction, a middle distillate oil fraction, a heavy distillate oil fraction and a distillation residue are produced; recycling a portion of said middle distillate oil, said heavy distillate oil fraction and said distillation residue to said primary hydrogenation step as the slurrying solvent; removing ash from the remaining portion of the distillation residue, thereby separating the same into an insoluble fraction containing ash, insoluble organic matter or a mixture thereof, and a soluble fraction as a solution in said solvent; and feeding said soluble fraction and said middle and heavy distillate fractions, to a fixed-bed column reactor packed with a molybdenum-bas
