  • Patent number: 11971568
Abstract: A polarizing plate may have high transmittance characteristics and suppressed reflected light. An optical device may be provided with the polarizing plate. The polarizing plate may have a wire grid structure that includes a transparent substrate and grid-like projection portions arranged on the transparent substrate at a pitch shorter than the wavelength of light in a used bandwidth and extending in a predetermined direction. The grid-like projection portions may each have a reflective layer and a dielectric layer in order from the transparent substrate side. When viewed from the predetermined direction, the reflective layer has may have a step on the side thereof and may have the largest bottom width on the transparent substrate side.

  • Patent number: 11966068
Abstract: Provided is a structural birefringence-type inorganic wave plate having excellent heat resistance and durability, and a fine pattern. Also provided is a manufacturing method for an inorganic wave plate by which, even in the case of a fine pattern, productivity is high, and a desired phase difference is easily achieved and stably obtained. This inorganic wave plate is obtained by utilizing a selective interaction between a polymer having a repeating unit containing a carbonyl group, and a metallic oxide precursor, the inorganic wave plate having a wire grid structure provided with a transparent substrate, and grid-shaped protruding portions arranged at a pitch shorter than the wavelength of light in a used band on at least one surface of the transparent substrate and extending in a predetermined direction, the main component of the grid-shaped protruding portion being a metallic oxide.

  • Patent number: 4827792
Abstract: A reverse shift mechanism includes a reverse shift bracket which is reciprocatively movable between a neutral position and a reverse shifting position in response to shift effort applied thereto from a control lever. During movement of the reverse shift bracket from the neutral position to the reverse shifting position, shift effort is transmitted directly from the reverse shift bracket to a reverse fork lever by way of a direct pin, reducing friction loss and transmission loss and reducing the effort required for shifting. During movement of the shift bracket from the reverse shifting position to the neutral position, the reverse fork lever is drivingly connected to the reverse shift bracket by way of a reverse shift plate and a reverse shift arm. While the reverse shift bracket is in the reverse shifting position, the mechanism is prevented from slipping out of reverse by a stopper pin which engages a stopper pin engaging portion of the reverse shift plate.

  • Patent number: 4379501
Abstract: A ventilated disk brake includes a pair of brake pads which is substantially the same as the prior art, and a rotor. The rotor has a brake-pad engaging portion in which a pair of brake-pad engaging walls are formed to be pressed between and by the pair of brake pads. A plurality of cooling ribs extend radially between the pair of brake-pad engaging walls. The cooling ribs are formed in such a manner that the weight distribution thereof is ununiform in the peripheral direction thereof along the brake-pad engaging portion. For example, the cooling ribs can be different in thickness, length and/or arrangement interval. such a design can be made on the basis of empirical data.
