  • Patent number: 6075539
Abstract: A geometric object display method and apparatus and a computer-readable storage medium storing a geometric object display process program, capable of displaying the image of a composite geometric object such that the outline of the object can be grasped by the user at an earlier stage. Composite geometric element data input from an input unit is divided into a plurality of geometric element data sets of each part by a sub-grouping unit of a computing unit. The display sequence of the sub-grouped geometric element data is scheduled by a sequence scheduling unit, and the sequenced geometric element data is output by an output unit such as a display device. The outline of a composite geometric object can be grasped at an earlier stage when only a fraction of geometric element data is displayed.

  • Patent number: 5740341
Abstract: A design and production supporting system for component arrangement and routing comprises a three-dimensional (3-D) component mapping means based on two-dimensional logical connection information of plant components and 3-D arrangement space information. To the 3-D component mapping means, an interactive mapping means and an automatic mapping means are provided. The interactive mapping means has a means for displaying the components arranged on the assigned plane of the arrangement space in the 3-D space keeping connection relationship among the components and a means for interactively moving these components in the arrangement space with keeping connection relationship among the components by using the dragging method. The automatic mapping means has a means for distinguishing the arranged spaces from the non-arranged spaces and arranging the components on the non-arranged spaces, and a means for searching the shortest route of pipes, etc., for the arranged components.

  • Patent number: 5122971
Abstract: Information with respect to the shapes and attaching positions of component parts which are necessary for a construction work is stored into a design information memory device by use of a keyboard, an image of a construction location is picked up by a TV camera before the component parts are actually processed, the image is processed to obtain observation information, and the shapes and attaching positions of the component parts are corrected using the observation information and the design information which has already been stored. The corrected information obtained by the correction is stored into a corrected information memory device. A processing device processes the component parts by preferentially using the corrected information. An attaching device attaches the processed component parts to the construction locations while using the corrected information.

  • Patent number: 5077685
Abstract: Radioactivity exposure amount of workcraftmen is obtained through simulation by using an operation processor when the workcraftmen carry out work operation within an area under controlled radioactivity. The movement of the workcraftmen carrying out work operation in the area under controlled radioactivity is simulated by making use of layout graphic data relating to the area. The radioactivity exposure amount of the workcraftmen is calculated in response to the simulated movement of the workcraftmen. The operation procedures of the target work operation for radioactivity exposure amount calculation is outputted from the operation processor, when the calculated radioactivity exposure amount satisfies a predetermined value.

  • Patent number: 5006991
Abstract: Components of a design object are graphically displayed on a display device of an apparatus for making a design reference. A designated interference check element graphically displayed on the display device imitates an article or human being moving in an area in which an actual design object is arranged. The interference check element is graphically displayed in a predetermined moving area of the interference check element in the area in which the design object is arranged. An interference between the interference check element and the design object is detected while the interference check element and the design object are moved relative to each other such that the interference check element is moved along the moving area, and a detected interference is displayed on the display device.

  • Patent number: 4992953
Abstract: A computer assisted design apparatus displays on a display device a graphic pattern of a layout object and a graphic pattern of a liquid stay area for the layout object. The liquid stay area includes a drain stay area and a vent stay area to which a drain discharge path and a vent discharge path are connected, respectively. Graphic data for representing the graphic pattern of the liquid stay area is prepared based on the layout object data relating to the layout object specified by an input device and a liquid discharger arrangement rule.
