    Abstract: In a mobile communication system, when a receiving condition is deteriorated to the extent that reception does not succeed even by means of combination after retransmission to the maximum number of retransmissions, a transmission rate is restricted by reducing radio frames assignable to new data, and by setting dedicated retransmission frames, to which retransmission data are assignable, over the maximum number of retransmissions for the reduced transmission rate, thereby enabling a greater number of retransmissions than the maximum number of retransmissions without an increase of a buffer size. By this, a combination gain through retransmission is improved and a retransmission failure rate is decreased.

    Abstract: A receiver receives information necessary for receive processing of a data channel via a corresponding control channel and executes the receive processing of the data channel based on the information received via the control channel. In the receiver, whether the control channel of a receive frame F1 has an error is monitored. And if there is an error, the data channel before demodulation of this receive frame is stored, and if the control channel of a retransmission frame F2, which is received subsequently, is normal, the stored data channel and the data channel of the retransmission frame are demodulated using the normal control channel information (parameters) of this retransmission frame, the demodulation results are synthesized, and decoding processing is performed based on the synthesized data.

    Abstract: A switching unit of a cross connecting device is expanded with no momentary interruption, while data loss and data overlapping is eliminated. To achieve such an expansion, a cross connecting device comprises a base set having a switching unit for determining an output channel based on virtual path information for cell data that is input and for outputting the cell data. An expanded set has a switching unit for receiving the cell data from the base set and cell data from another base set, and for determining an output channel based on virtual path information for both inputs of cell data and for outputting the cell data. A filter prevents the transmission, to the expanded set, of cell data for which the output channel is determined by the switching unit of the base set.
