  • Patent number: 7438541
Abstract: A hermetic rotary compressor operates two cylinders simultaneously in the regular operation; however it halts operating one of the cylinders when it selects an operation with a half capacity. A vane room of the halted cylinder is air-tightly sealed with respect to lubricant atmosphere in a hermetic case. An oil-supplying groove is provided to a vane groove of the halted cylinder, and lubricant is supplied to the oil-supplying groove in order to lubricate the vane.

  • Patent number: 7399170
Abstract: In a two-cylinder type hermetic rotary compressor, a first cylinder continually operates due to a spring member biasing a first vane. A pressure introducing pipe is connected to a second vane room arranged in a second cylinder. The second cylinder stops and starts operation by introducing sucking pressure or discharge pressure from the pressure introducing pipe. A discharge pressure introducing pipe that is connected to a portion of a hermetic case below the oil face of the lubricating oil is connected to the pressure introducing pipe.

  • Publication number: 20060225456
Abstract: In a two-cylinder type hermetic rotary compressor, a first cylinder is always compressed and operated since a spring member biases a first vane. A pressure introducing pipe is connected to a second vane room arranged in a second cylinder. The second cylinder is stopped in operation and is operated by introducing sucking pressure or discharge pressure from the pressure introducing pipe. A discharge pressure introducing pipe connected to a portion of a hermetic case below the oil face of lubricating oil is connected to the pressure introducing pipe.

  • Patent number: 6227828
Abstract: A gear pump is used in an electrically-operated sealed compressor. The compressor includes a compression mechanism, an electric motor for driving the compression mechanism, and a crankshaft for transmitting the rotational force of the electric motor to the compression mechanism. The gear pump includes a pair of gears being in mesh with each other, one of which is connected to one end of the crankshaft, and a pump casing accommodating only the pair of gears. The pump casing together with the gear pair is disposed on one side of a cover plate, while other elements constituting the gear pump are disposed on the other side of the cover plate. By this construction, the distance between the gear pair and an auxiliary bearing to which the gear pump is secured can be reduced and, hence, an undesirable whirling of one end portion of the crankshaft can also be reduced.

  • Patent number: 5931650
Abstract: A hermetic electric scroll compressor includes a fixed scroll and an orbiting scroll which define therebetween a plurality of compression spaces for compressing fluid introduced via a suction port. The orbiting scroll has a base plate and a shaft portion extending from the base plate toward a crankshaft rotatably supported by a support member. A seal member is disposed between the base plate and the support member to define an inner region and an outer region. The shaft portion is exposed to the inner region, while the outer region communicates with the suction port. The shaft portion is formed with an axial hole open to the inner region, while the base plate is formed with a radial hole open to the outer region. Communication is established between the axial and radial holes via a small-diameter hole so that lubricating oil supplied to the inner region is introduced into the outer region via the small-diameter hole for feeding to the compression spaces via the suction port.

  • Patent number: 5591018
Abstract: In a sealed electric scroll compressor, lubricating oil is collected in an oil collection pan mounted under a compression mechanism after the compression mechanism is lubricated thereby, the lubricating oil collected in the oil collection pan is discharged from a small hole at the side of the oil collection pan which is located remote from a delivery pipe for delivering a high-pressure refrigerant gas outward from a sealed container of the sealed electric compressor. The high-pressure refrigerant gas flows between the inner wall of the sealed container and a vertical cut part formed on the circumference of a stator of an electric motor.
