  • Patent number: 5615956
Abstract: A roller bearing includes an outer ring having a raceway formed on its inner periphery, a plurality of rollers arranged along the raceway at predetermined intervals, and a solid lubricant filling the spaces between the adjacent rollers. The rollers and the solid lubricant form a one-piece body. The problems of large friction between rollers and the skewing of rollers are solved and it is possible to increase the load-bearing capacity of the bearing by using a large number of longer rollers.

  • Patent number: 4893387
Abstract: A roller element for use in a roller bearing having a surface formed with minute recesses at random so that the ratio RMS(L)/RMS(C) will be not more than 0.8 wherein RMS(L) is the roughness mean square value in the longitudinal direction and RMS(C) is the roughness mean square value in the circumferential direction and so that the SK value is not more than -0.2 in both the longitudinal and circumferential directions.
