  • Patent number: 4965598
Abstract: The invention provides a printing apparatus. The said printing apparatus comprises thermosensitive adhesive paper and a thermal recording head. The printing apparatus heats the thermal recording head to form a thermal pattern image on the thermosensitive adhesive paper. The imaging part on the thermosensitive adhesive paper then becomes adhesive, causing the first developer adhere to the adhesive imaging part on the thermosensitive adhesive paper. Then the first developer is magnetized. After being adhered to the first developer, the second developer is transferred to the paper. The printing apparatus prints manuscripts rapidly using the master image formed by the first developer.

  • Patent number: 4891657
Abstract: The particles of a first magnetic developing agent are electrostatically attracted to the electrostatic latent image formed on a photosensitive belt, thus forming a first developer image. An AC voltage having a frequency f [Hz] is applied to a magnetic head. The head magnetizes the first developer image, thereby forming a master image. The frequency f satisfies the following inequality: ##EQU1## where V [mm/sec] is the speed at which the developer image moves relative to the magnetic head, and Dt [.mu.m] is the average particle size of a second magnetic developing agent. The particles of the second magnetic developing agent are attracted to the magnetized master image, thus forming a second developer image. The second developer image is transferred from the photosensitive belt onto a sheet of paper.

  • Patent number: 4791452
Abstract: Single-colored image printing and multi-colored image printing are carried out by an image forming apparatus in response to color signals. The image forming apparatus includes an image carrier, a first image forming unit having a first developer wherein a first color developing agent is stored, and a second image forming unit having a second developer wherein a second color developing agent is stored.A single color image is formed on the image carrier when only a first color signal is received by the apparatus in the single-colored image printing. When a single-colored image printing is carried out by the first developer, a prescribed bias voltage is applied to the second developer to prevent the second color developing agent from the contamination by the first color developing agent of the single color image formed on the image carrier.
