  • Patent number: 11495935
Abstract: An optical filter includes a first ring resonator a second ring resonator having different perimeters, and a waveguide optically coupled to the first ring resonator and transmit light to the first ring resonator. Light incident on the waveguide is transmitted to the second ring resonator through the first ring resonator. A free spectral range of a transmission spectrum of the first ring resonator and a free spectral range of a transmission spectrum of the second ring resonator are staggered to each other, and are set so that a transmission spectrum of a double ring corresponding to a synthetic spectrum of the transmission spectrum of the first ring resonator and the transmission spectrum of the second ring resonator has a highest first peak at an arbitrary wavelength.

  • Patent number: 11307353
Abstract: A first optical waveguide is formed on a semiconductor substrate in such a way that the first optical waveguide is surrounded by clad layers. An outside portion of the first optical waveguide is formed as a terminator, which includes a taper portion and a bending structure portion. The taper portion has a width, which is gradually reduced in a direction to a forward end of the first optical waveguide. The taper portion coverts a light confinement condition from a strong condition to a weak condition in the direction to the forward end of the first optical waveguide. The bending structure portion has an arc shape extending from an outside end of the taper portion on a plane parallel to a surface of the semiconductor substrate.

  • Publication number: 20210373350
Abstract: A beam deflection system includes 2M laser light sources configured to emit laser lights, each laser light source being configured to switch two different center wavelengths to each other. The 2M laser light sources are divided into two sets of M types. The laser lights emitted from the two sets of M types of laser light sources are combined and input to a beam deflector. When (i) N is defined as an integer satisfying an expression of “1?N?M”, and (ii) center wavelengths of Nth laser light sources of the two sets of M laser light sources are defined as ?N and ?M+N, an expression of “?1< . . . <?N< . . . <?M<?M+1< . . . <?M+N< . . . <?2M” is satisfied.

  • Patent number: 8816380
Abstract: In a display panel, a first electron injection layer is formed between an anode and a light-emitting functional layer, and a hole injection layer is formed between the anode and the first electron injection layer. In other words, the hole injection layer, the first electron injection layer, and the light-emitting functional layer are configured to be laminated on the anode in this order. An electron injection material used for the first electron injection layer is diffused into the hole injection layer, and the diffused electron injection material inhibits or promotes hole transportation of the hole injection layer, so that the amount of holes transported to a light-emitting functional layer is adjusted. As a result, the carrier balance is improved.
