  • Patent number: 6217094
Abstract: An object holding device has a base plate, first and second claws, base ends of which are pivoted at the first and second pivotal points on the base plate, respectively, free ends of which hold an object detachably, a driving device, first and second driven members to be rotated around the first and second pivotal points, respectively, by a driving device, and first and second spiral springs wound around the first and second pivotal points, respectively, for connecting the first and second driven members with the first and second claws, respectively, in order to urge the claws in a closed position. An angular position of the claw is detected, and an original position is set when the claws are opened fully. The object is held by a holding force according to the difference between the rotary angles of the driven member and the claw.

  • Patent number: 5850900
Abstract: To provide a synchronizer ring having both the characteristic of quickly synchronizing two gears and the characteristic of no burning, a wood ceramics layer of a friction member 12 is formed on a tapered inner circumferential surface of a ring-like structure 11 of a synchronizer ring 10. Since the friction member 12 of the synchronizer ring 10 according to the present invention is formed of wood ceramics, the synchronizer ring 10 can attain porosity, wear resistance, heat resistance, and seizure resistance. Owing to the porosity of the wood ceramics, the formation of an oil film at a friction interface can be suppressed to thereby enlarge the coefficient of dynamic friction. Accordingly, two gears can be quickly synchronized with no seizure owing to the heat resistance and the seizure resistance.

  • Patent number: 5558340
Abstract: A game machine includes a housing; a grip mechanism including two hands for gripping articles mounted on a rear wall of the housing; a drive mechanism for moving the grip mechanism vertically and/or horizontally, and depthwise in the housing; a control mechanism for controlling starting and stopping of the drive mechanism; and an input mechanism manually controlled by a game user for sending signals to the control mechanism to start and stop vertical and/or horizontal movement of the grip mechanism. Depthwise movement of the grip mechanism is actuated by the control mechanism after horizontal and vertical movement is stopped. A sensor mechanism on the grip mechanism senses the presence of a prize between the two hands and sends a signal to the control mechanism to close the hands to grip the article whereupon the grip mechanism is returned to a home position, the hands are released and the prize is delivered to the user.

  • Patent number: 5452436
Abstract: A data processing apparatus, including a number of electronic circuit units, in which high-speed data can be transmitted among the electronic circuit units. When data is transmitted from one electronic circuit unit to another electronic circuit unit, a clock signal to fetch the data in the sink side electronic circuit unit is transmitted from the source side electronic circuit unit via a clock signal line having the same signal propagation delay characteristics as those of the data signal line.
