  • Patent number: 5832949
Abstract: The invention provides a control valve wherein a restrictor can be formed simply in an oil passage for introducing pressure oil on the downstream side of an orifice into a pressure chamber. The control valve is generally constructed such that pressure oil on the downstream side of the orifice is introduced into the pressure chamber through the oil path and a spool is moved by an action of a pressure difference on the opposite sides of the orifice whereas an excessive flow mount of oil escapes to a tank port. A groove is formed along an insertion hole of a connector or on a tubular portion of an orifice member which overlaps with the insertion hole. Such groove may otherwise be formed both along the insertion hole and on the tubular portion. When the orifice member is inserted into a connector, a restrictor which makes part of the oil path is formed from the groove simultaneously.

  • Patent number: 5810129
Abstract: A rotary damper for stabilization of a damping and temperature characteristic without impairing a temperature compensation function and facilitates a lubricating operation. The damper includes a bore for a damping force generating mechanism as a single communication flowpassage and a bore for a temperature compensation mechanism arranged in a line in a casing. The damping force generating mechanism is divided into two sets of damping elements with damping valves and return valves, arranged in series in the communication flowpassage with back surfaces of the damping valves and are oppositely positioned. A portion of the communication flowpassage between the damping valves is communicated with an oil chamber of a temperature compensation mechanism by an oil passage. A side panel is provided with a lubricating port toward the oil chamber of the temperature compensation mechanism.

  • Patent number: 5180001
Abstract: A heat transfer member has a heat transfer unit mounted on a mounting sheet. The heat transfer unit comprises a plurality of layers of wire mesh laminated and bonded together and to the mounting sheet. The spaces between the wires of the mesh layers of the heat transfer unit permit liquid to pass through the heat transfer unit so as to conduct heat. A semiconductor element (IC chip) is mounted on the mounting sheet, and to a base. The resulting assembly is immersed in a liquid. Preferably, the planes of the mesh layers are generally perpendicular to the mounting sheet and the semiconductor element and the material of the mounting sheet chosen to have a thermal expansion coefficient between that of the semiconductor element and the heat transfer unit to reduce thermal stresses. The wires of the mesh layers are preferably of copper as this is inexpensive and provides satisfactory heat conduction.
