  • Patent number: 7177636
Abstract: To reduce change on a cellular network side required at the time of utilizing a cellular network by way of an IP network. A radio terminal 110 puts a location registration message for a cellular network 100 on an IP packet, and sends the message to an access point 102. This IP packet is transferred to a control proxy server 131. The control proxy server 131 stores a correspondence between identification information on a radio terminal and an IP address based on a location registration request. If necessary, the location registration request is converted into the location registration message in compliance with a standard of the cellular network 100. The location registration message is transferred to an MSC/VLR 121 via a gateway 130. As the gateway 130 looks like an ordinary base station to the MSC/VLR 121 and an ordinary location registration message is usable, any change on the cellular network side is not necessary.

  • Publication number: 20030078898
Abstract: A unit charge is set and varied in course of time by the unit charge decision apparatus 12. A new unit charge is notified, via the circuit 2, to the display 8 at the user's home 6 by the unit charge notification apparatus 13. A communication charge is calculated by using the notified unit charge. At this time, the monitor 11 monitors, after notifying the unit charge, a state of use of the service facilities and the history database 15 records a correlation between the unit charge already notified to the user and the monitored state of use of the service facilities after having notified the unit charge. The unit charge decision apparatus 12 decides the new unit charge based on the correlation between the unit charge already notified to the user and the state of use of the service facilities after having notified the unit charge by using the recorded history data.

  • Patent number: 5521905
Abstract: Adaptive traffic control apparatus and method control connection of arriving calls in at least one circuit group in circuit-switched networks. The switching systems in general measure the number of calls in progress n(t) at a time t in the circuit group, where t.sub.0 .ltoreq.t.ltoreq.T, t.sub.0 is a traffic control initiation time and T is a target time of the traffic control. In particular, an admissible number of calls d(t) in the circuit group at the time tis calculated so that all the circuits of the group will be free by the target time T, and the measured number of calls in progress n(t) is compared with the calculated admissible number of call d(t) at each time a new call arrives at the circuit group to decide that the arriving new call is to be accepted if n(t)<d(t) and that the arriving new call is to be rejected if n(t).gtoreq.d(t).

  • Patent number: 4754400
Abstract: A communication protocol validation system which produces a global state transition chart having a plurality of states and a plurality of transitions between states in electrical form to find an error and/or a deadlock of the protocol has been improved by coupling a plurality of global transitions according to a predetermined algorithm and deleting redundant global transitions. Thus, a number of global states and a number of global transitions in the chart are reduced, and the validation is implemented by using a reasonable amount of hardware in a reasonable time.
