    Abstract: The present invention has an object to provide a seat for vehicles in which walk-in operation can be cancelled by simple operation. A seat for vehicles includes: a mechanism to shift a seat cushion (2) from a seating position to an escape position by operation of an operation part (9); and a walk-in cancel mechanism (400) for cancelling walk-in operation which restrains a seat back (3) from rotating to a fully tilted-down position of the seat back (3) when the seat cushion (2) is shifted from the seating position to the escape position and the seat back (3) is rotated to a middle tilted position, and also switches a slide rail device in a locked state to an unlocked state, in which the walk-in cancel mechanism (400) is automatically operated in conjunction with operation of the operation part (9).

The side bars are secured by brackets to a connecting pipe of the seat cushion or the seatback. Each recess may be made in a pad. A trim cover may have openings each above the recess. The engagement member may have a bifurcated shape and has a groove engaged with the front bar. The connecting members, having one end connected to a trim cover terminal behind the opening and the other end engaged with the bracket, may be wound around the connecting pipe and stretched between the bracket and the trim cover terminal, each drawing the terminal into the recess.

    Abstract: A seating apparatus for a vehicle, in which a seat cushion supported on the vehicle body by a link member can be flipped up toward the front of the vehicle from a use position and which includes a locking mechanism that operates only when the seat cushion is acted upon by an inertial force greater than a predetermined force in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, to temporarily prevent the seat cushion from flipping up. The locking mechanism includes a locking plate supported on the seat cushion and rockable in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle between a normal position and a rocked position, and a spring for urging the locking plate toward the normal position. The locking plate locks the seat cushion to the link member when it is moved inertially to the rocked position against the force of the spring, to prevent the seat cushion from flipping up, and the locking plate unlocks the seat cushion when it is located in the normal position.

The groove defines a through hole penetrating the seat pad at the bridge part of the planar member. The bridge part is not pressed onto the bottom of the groove even if the seat pad undergoes compressive deformation and is pressed down in the groove, because the groove has no bottom at some parts.

    Abstract: Artificial leather can be produced, without using any organic solvent, by coating or impregnating a fibrous base material to be formed into artificial leather with a polymer solution in the form of an aqueous emulsion, in which the polymer exhibits elasticity when it is solidified and adhered to the base material; and then solidifying and adhering or fixed, in the fibrous base material, the polymer solution contained in the base material using a combination of wet heat (using the heat of water vapor) and microwave heating. Therefore, the method is not harmful to the environment and permits the reduction of the degree of migration as compared with the conventional methods in which the solidification and adhesion or fixation are performed by dry heating while making use of hot air.
