    Abstract: An insulated bearing device is provided which includes a housing, an outer ring and rolling elements, and in which an insulating film for providing electrical insulation between the housing and the outer ring is disposed on the surface of the outer ring. The insulating film includes a straight portion extending along the outer periphery of the outer ring and having a constant outer diameter in the axial direction. The housing has, on the inner periphery of its housing hole, an inner peripheral cylindrical surface formed at a position intersecting with the axial centerlines of the rolling elements, and the straight portion is fitted to, and in contact with, the inner peripheral cylindrical surface. The contact range between the inner peripheral cylindrical surface and the straight portion has an axial length shorter than the entire axial length of the straight portion.

    Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a transfer member for transferring a toner image to a recording medium, a first fusing unit, and a second fusing unit located upstream of the first fusing unit for preheating the recording medium to a prescribed temperature before fusing by the first fusing unit. A heating member heats the recording medium and a detector detects the temperature of the recording medium. A controller controls the output of the heating member and the second fusing unit based on the temperature of the recording medium. In addition, the a recording medium conveyance controller will move the recording medium forward and backward in the recording medium conveyance direction when the temperature of the recording medium detected by the temperature detector exceeds or reaches a prescribed temperature at the end of printing.

Therefore, good fusing performance of the fusing member can be maintained at all times in a stable fashion with regard to various types of recording media.
