  • Patent number: 7820762
Abstract: Disclosed is a resin composition having excellent impact resistance and resistance to whitening by impact without deteriorating excellent transparency of a methacrylic resin. Specifically, an impact resistance modifier composed of a multilayered polymer having at least three layers, namely an innermost-layer polymer derived from an alkyl methacrylate, an intermediate-layer polymer derived from an alkyl acrylate and an outer-layer polymer having its Tg within the range of 20 to 80° C., wherein mass average particle diameter of the intermediate-layer polymer is 200 to 300 nm and the mass ratio of each layer is within an appropriate range, is blended with a methacrylic resin.

  • Publication number: 20080004399
Abstract: Disclosed is a resin composition having excellent impact resistance without deteriorating excellent transparency of a methacrylic resin. Specifically, an impact resistance modifier composed of a multilayered polymer having at least two layers, namely 100 parts by mass of an inner-layer polymer which is derived from an alkyl acrylate and a polyfunctional monomer and has a mass average particle diameter of 200 to 300 nm and 30 to 100 parts by mass of an outer-layer polymer which contains an alkyl methacrylate and has a Tg within the range of 20 to 80° C., is blended with a methacrylic resin which is mainly composed of constitutional units of methyl methacrylate to provide the resin composition.

  • Patent number: 5334656
Abstract: A polyester resin composition obtained by melt-mixing a mixture comprising resin components comprising as main resins(A) a thermoplastic polyester resin and(B) a polyorganosiloxane graft copolymer obtained by graft-polymerizing one or more kinds of vinyl monomer containing at least an epoxy group-containing vinyl monomer onto a compound rubber in which a polyorgano-siloxane rubber and a polyalkyl (meth)acrylate rubber have been inseparably united with each other. According to the present invention is provided a polyester resin composition in which the impact resistance of a thermoplastic polyester resin, a main constituent, has been improved over a wide temperature range including low temperatures below 0.degree. C., and which provides molded products having good appearance.
