  • Patent number: 4850912
Abstract: A container for sealingly containing a fluid is made from first and second thermoplastic container films bonded together around a rectangular periphery except where an inlet port is formed. A first bonded together portion extends the inlet port along one side, with a plurality of non-bonded together segments spaced therealong. A check valve is provided in each non-bonded together segment. The check valve is made from two rectangular thermoplastic valve films bonded together to form a fluid pipe. The fluid pipe has a tip opening and a valve body to allow flow through the fluid pipe from the tip opening but which prevents a reverse flow. A respective valve film is bonded at the tip opening to an adjacent container film so that the guide tube is fluid tight except for the inlet port and the tip openings. Second bonded together portions are also provided between adjacent check valves in order to form a plurality of container members whose only egress is a respective check valve.

  • Patent number: 4708167
Abstract: A check valve comprising a fluid pipe of a plastic film formed in a flat shape, and at least one valve body of a rectangular plastic film disposed in said fluid pipe, said valve body being bonded at the longitudinal edges thereof to the longitudinal edges of said fluid pipe, the tip end of said valve body in the fluid flowing direction being bonded to the inner side of one of the upper and lower flat surfaces of said fluid pipe to form a closed portion and an open portion, the base end of said valve body being not bonded to said fluid pipe to form openings between said valve body and the flat upper and lower surfaces of said fluid pipe, whereby a fluid can flow in a gap between one of said openings at the base end of said valve body and said open portion at the tip end thereof.

  • Patent number: 4674532
Abstract: A check valve for a water bag, balloon toy, or the like, comprising a flat fluid pipe of plastic film open at its base end and its tip end. A flat valve body is disposed in the flat pipe and is closed along its lateral sides which are sealed to closed sides of the fluid pipe. The valve body is also closed at its side disposed towards the tip end of the fluid pipe but is open at its side disposed towards the base end of the fluid pipe. Fluid is able to flow inward in a direction from the tip end of the fluid pipe to the base end thereof through gaps between the inner surface of the fluid pipe and the outer surface of the valve body. However, fluid flow in the outward direction expands the valve body and closes the gaps to prevent outward flow.
