  • Patent number: 6698916
Abstract: An underwater agitation pump comprises an impeller casing in which an impeller driven by a motor is rotatably accommodated, an agitated material suction guide cylinder of a hollow cylinder which has one-end opening portion thereof integrally communicably connected to a center suction opening portion of the impeller while passing through a center opening of the impeller casing and having the other-end opening portion thereof extended downwardly, the suction guide cylinder further forming an agitated material suction passage therewithin, and an agitator mounted on an outer peripheral portion of the other-end opening portion of the agitated material suction guide cylinder. Due to such a constitution, the agitated material suction passage formed in the inside of the agitated material suction guide cylinder can ensure a sufficiently wide agitated material inflow area.

  • Publication number: 20020191488
Abstract: An underwater agitation pump can suck soil, sand or the like which contains block-like material or string-like material in a dredging site or the like while efficiently agitating such soil, sand or the like and thereafter can discharge such sand, soil or the like to a desired place. The underwater agitation pump comprises an impeller casing in which an impeller driven by a motor is rotatably accommodated, an agitated material suction guide cylinder being constituted of a hollow cylinder which has one-end opening portion thereof integrally communicably connected to a center suction opening portion of the impeller while passing through a center opening of the impeller casing and having the other-end opening portion thereof extended downwardly, the agitated material suction guide cylinder further forming an agitated material suction passage in the inside thereof, and an agitator which is mounted on an outer peripheral portion of the other-end opening portion of the agitated material suction guide cylinder.

  • Patent number: 4728256
Abstract: The present invention relates to an underwater pump which is characterized by mounting a stationary flexible-piece-winding preventing member, such as a stationary sleeve, on an outer periphery of a portion of a rotating shaft of a rotary motor where a rotating head such as an agitator is mounted. Due to such construction, the winding or adhesion of a flexible piece to the rotary-head mounting portion can be effectively prevented.

  • Patent number: 4460181
Abstract: A device for controlling the pressure at shaft-sealing parts of an apparatus, wherein pressure equal to an external pressure around the apparatus is established in an interconnect chamber as well as in a motor chamber so as to equalize pressures applied on the shaft-sealing parts disposed between an impeller chamber and the interconnect chamber and between the interconnect chamber and the motor chamber. Due to the above, the apparatus can eliminate any damages which may occur in the shaft-sealing parts of a conventional apparatus used in a pressurized atmosphere.

  • Patent number: 4456424
Abstract: An underwater sand pump has an extremely improved sand excavating efficiency by eliminating the occurrence of cavitation and by preventing interference between the agitation flow and the suction flow. Such underwater pump is substantially characterized by disposing flow separating means in a circular opening formed in an end plate of a perforated strainer and by mounting such flow separating means integrally and contiguously on the upper end of the agitator which is mounted on the lower extension of the output shaft of a motor.
