  • Patent number: 6605750
Abstract: A product gas generated through the decomposition reaction of organohalogen compounds and steam is neutralized with an alkali solution and is left to stand for a predetermined period of time, while a neutralization product generated in this neutralization reaction is caused to precipitate in the alkali solution and is then removed. In order to remove the neutralization product completely, a takeout tube 71 is disposed to plunge into a waste gas processing tank 41 and a disk-shaped plate 71a is fastened at the distal end of the takeout tube 71 in parallel to the bottom surface of the waste gas processing tank 41, while the takeout tube 71 opens in the lower surface of the plate 71a at the center thereof. Thus the solid-liquid separation efficiency of the neutralization product and the alkali solution is improved and the quantity of alkali solution remaining in the neutralization product that is disposed of as waste is decreased.

  • Patent number: 6316859
Abstract: Provided is a rotating electric machine in which the cooling capacity is improved by increasing the width and depth of a gas vent groove 12 formed in a creepage block 11 and in which a fracture is prevented near the face of the creepage block 11 abutting against a magnetic winding 4 of the creepage block 11 fabricated from a resin material containing reinforcing fibers. The reinforcing fibers of the creepage block 11 fabricated from a resin material containing reinforcing fibers are continuously disposed to form straight lines and curved lines along the contour of the gas vent groove, whereby the area of interlayer slip face 32 subjected to a shearing force acting on the creepage block due to a temperature change of a rotor 1 is increased and the shearing force per unit a slip area is decreased, thereby to prevent a shearing slip fracture near the face of the creepage block 11 abutting against the magnetic winding 4.
