  • Publication number: 20210147330
Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a 3-hydroxy-3-methylbutyrate or salt thereof, the method being capable of efficiently producing a highly pure 3-hydroxy-3-methylbutyrate or salt thereof. The highly pure 3-hydroxy-3-methylbutyrate or salt thereof can be efficiently produced by performing at least one of the following operations (a) to (d) on a solution containing 3-hydroxy-3-methylbutyrate and impurities exposed to environments of pH 6.0 or less. (a) Hypochlorous acid or salt thereof is added to the solution. (b) The solution is maintained at 40 to 200° C. for 30 minutes or more, provided that the solution contains hypochlorous acid or salt thereof. (c) Calcium salt is added to the solution, and the precipitated calcium 2,3-dihydroxy-3-methylbutanoate is separated from the liquid phase in which 3-hydroxy-3-methylbutyrate and/or the salt is dissolved.

  • Publication number: 20050036450
Abstract: The network monitoring system includes: a monitoring equipment 10; and a reproduction terminal 20 which decompresses compressed image data included in monitoring information transmitted by the monitoring equipment through a network line 40; a calculation unit for calculating the transmittable amount of information 501 which calculates the transmittable amount of information per unit time of the network line; and a calculation unit for calculating the transmitted amount of information 502 which calculates the transmitted amount of information per unit time of the monitoring information to be transmitted on the basis of a predetermined occupation ratio in order to determine a ratio of the monitoring information to the calculated transmittable amount of information, and the amount of information per unit time of monitoring information to be transmitted from the monitoring equipment is controlled on the basis of the transmitted amount of information per unit time that has been calculated by the calculation unit f

  • Patent number: 4899654
Abstract: In a wiping apparatus for an intaglio printing press, a piston rod actuating end of a fluid pressure cylinder is pivotally coupled to each eccentric bearing for supporting the wiping roller, and the fluid pressure cylinder is supported by an adjusting mechanism for slightly moving in an extendable direction of the piston rod. A doctor blade holding member and a press-side support member are coupled by a plurality of fixing screws. The support member is reciprocally supported relative to the press side in an attachment/detachment direction of the doctor blade. The eccentric bearings and both ends of the support member are coupled by cam mechanisms for interlocking pivotal movement of the eccentric bearings with reciprocal movement of the support member. A doctor blade contact pressure fine-adjusting mechanism reciprocates the holding member with respect to the support member. Belleville springs are inserted between heads of fixing screws and the doctor blade holding member.

  • Patent number: 4846064
Abstract: In a slip sheet insertion-delivery apparatus, a plurality of printing sheet grippers opposite to some of a plurality of gripper pads mounted on a gripper pad shaft and slip sheet grippers opposite to the remaining gripper pads are mounted on one gripper shaft. The slip sheet grippers are loosely fitted on the gripper shaft through corresponding torsion springs. A cam mechanism is arranged to simultaneously open/close the printing and slip sheet grippers near a cylinder. Another cam mechanism including a plurality of cams is arranged to simultaneously open/close only the slip sheet grippers at a slip sheet insertion position.

  • Patent number: 4481878
Abstract: A sheet is pressed by type characters on a numbering device to form a raised portion on the sheet in a character pattern indicative of a serial number. Simultaneously with printing of an image pattern on the sheet, ink is applied to the raised portion on the sheet to visualize the serial number. With no inking device required for the numbering device, the apparatus is simple in overall arrangement and can be constructed less costly.

  • Patent number: 4427405
Abstract: A signature transfer device in a folder for a rotary printing press includes a plurality of adjustable-pressure rollers for holding down upper tapes for transferring a signature with a strong force to prevent the upper tapes from slipping on the signature and hence, to prevent the latter from being inclined while the signature is being transferred toward a position in which the signature will be folded on itself by a chopper blade. The signature transfer device includes an adjustment mechanism for adjusting gaps between the upper tapes and the lower tapes to reduce the force with which the signature is sandwiched between the upper and lower tapes, so that the signature is prevented from being forcibly pressed against front lays in the folding position. With this arrangement, the signature is prevented from getting wrinkled upon abutment against the front lays, and from becoming inclined relative to the chopper blade when the signature approaches and arrives at the folding position.

  • Patent number: 4368879
Abstract: A cutting and folding apparatus receives a printed web from a printing section including a plate cylinder and produces a variety of signatures. The apparatus includes a folding cylinder having a diameter two or more times as large as that of the plate cylinder, a collecting cylinder adjacent the folding cylinder and having a diameter 1.5 times as large as that of the plate cylinder, a pin cylinder adjacent the collecting cylinder and having the same diameter as the plate cylinder, and a gripping cylinder adjacent the folding cylinder and having the same diameter as the folding cylinder. To obtain superimposed signatures, cutting knives circumferentially provided on the folding cylinder transversely sever, in cooperation with holding members on the collecting cylinder, the running web supplied therebetween. The severed sheets are held by the holding members and superimposed one over the other, two superimposed sheets being successively transferred to the pin cylinder for delivery.
