  • Patent number: 11964590
Abstract: A battery provided in a vehicle and configured to supply electric power is cooled down by coolant the heat of which is exchanged with the heat of external air by a radiator. The radiator is provided near the battery and performs heat-exchange between the coolant and the external air taken in through introduction holes provided on a bottom face of the vehicle. Thus, even in a case where the radiator is provided in a vehicle floor portion so that the battery is upsized, it is possible to restrain a coolant pipe from being elongated. This accordingly makes it possible to improve mountability to the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 7074458
Abstract: A coating device for coating a coating solution on a web has a roller and a weir which partially constructs a solution store space. In the solution store space the coating solution is stored. When the web sequentially moves in a direction, the roller rotates and the solution in the solution store space is supplied on the web. Thereby a part of the solution overflows the weir such that another part of the solution may remain on the web to have a constant width in a widthwise direction of the web. A drying device has plural drying zones in which the web is fed after the coating of the coating solution. One of the drying zones is neighbored to the coating device. A top of the plural drying zones is constructed of a blow regulation member so as to confront to the solution on the web. • Publication number: 20040071414
Abstract: A system is provided for fusion splicing at least one pair and, more typically a plurality of pairs (e.g., 24 pairs), of optical fibers together. The system includes a pair of electrodes and a controller. The optical fibers are positioned between the pair of electrodes. In this regard, the electrodes are capable of passing an electric current therebetween to create an electric arc capable of heating an end of each of the optical fibers. The controller is capable of controlling the electrodes to thereby pass the current therebetween to create the electric arc. Advantageously, the controller is capable of controlling the electrodes to pass an initial current to thereby create and maintain an initial electric arc and thereafter pass a processing current to thereby create and maintain a processing electric arc, where the initial current is higher than the processing current.

Abstract: An optical fiber resin coating apparatus having an ultraviolet flash lamp used for coating an optical fiber by an ultraviolet curing resin, a lamp lighting circuit for making the ultraviolet flash lamp emit light, and a control circuit for controlling this lamp lighting circuit. The control circuit detects the intensity and emission time of ultraviolet light emitted from the ultraviolet flash lamp by an ultraviolet sensor and supplies a voltage and excitation time to the power source for exciting the ultraviolet flash lamp based on this. As the ultraviolet light source, at least one ultraviolet laser diode or ultraviolet light emitting diode may be used instead of an ultraviolet flash lamp. The ultraviolet light source may be arranged to emit ultraviolet light so that the coating portion of the ultraviolet curing resin exhibits an inclined profile where the intensity of the ultraviolet light gradually changes according to the position.
