Patent number: 5585879Abstract: In a photosensitive material processing apparatus, a photosensitive material taking on the form of a long strip is fed into a conveyance mechanism and conveyed in this form along a predetermined conveyance path. An exposure device, a reservoir section, a development processing section, and a cutter are located in the conveyance path. The exposure device carries out scanning exposing operations on the long strip of the photosensitive material and thereby forms latent images on the long strip of the photosensitive material. In the reservoir section, a looped portion for serving as a buffer for conveyance is formed in the long strip of the photosensitive material, on which the latent images have been formed. In the development processing section, development processing is carried out on the long strip of the photosensitive material, which is fed via the reservoir section.Type: GrantFiled: August 3, 1994Date of Patent: December 17, 1996Assignee: Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd.Inventors: Toshiro Tahara, Yukio Sugita, Youichi Kimura, Kazuo Shiota, Haruyoshi Kuriyama

Patent number: 5518229Abstract: Disclosed herein is a negative film accumulating apparatus for accumulating therein a plurality of negative films successively fed from a photographic printer or the like. The negative films fed from the previous process such as the photographic printer or the like are placed on a supporter employed in the negative film accumulating apparatus. The rear end of each of the negative films is pressed in the film thickness direction by a pressure block. Each of the negative films thus pressed is accumulated in a holder. The pressure block presses against the negative films each time the negative films are successively delivered. It is therefore possible to accumulate the rear ends of the negative films in the holder in a stack.Type: GrantFiled: July 1, 1994Date of Patent: May 21, 1996Assignee: Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd.Inventors: Toshiro Tahara, Tadashi Seto

Patent number: 5153639Abstract: A film supplying apparatus includes a holding member for holding the vicinity of leading end portions of strips of negative film placed therein in a superposed state with a longitudinal direction of the negative film set in a curved configuration, and a pressing device for pressing an innermost ones, as viewed in a curved state, of the strips of negative film against a feed roller via the holding member. Accordingly, as the feed roller is rotated in the negative film feeding direction, the strips of film starting with the innermost one, as viewed in the curved state, of the strips of negative film are consecutively fed to a printer. In this case, since a force acting in a direction in which the curved shape of the film is reduced is applied to the negative film being fed, no large friction occurs with respect to the remaining film.Type: GrantFiled: February 4, 1992Date of Patent: October 6, 1992Assignee: Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd.Inventors: Toshiro Tahara, Seiji Makino, Tadashi Seto, Izumi Seto, Shigeru Yoshino, Matsuyuki Miwa

Patent number: 4858468Abstract: A method of detecting the quantity of replenishing solution remaining in a replenishing-solution tank in an automatic developing machine, which tank stores a replenishing solution to be supplied to a processing tank for processing a light sensitive material, comprises the steps of subtracting the quantity of replenishing solution supplied to the processing tank from a storage quantity representing the amount of replenishing solution stored in the replenishing-solution tank; and detecting the value of the subtraction as the quantity of replenishing solution remaining in the replenishing-solution tank. Accordingly, an operator can detect the remaining quantity of replenishing solution without the need to visually inspect the replenishing-solution tank.Type: GrantFiled: June 13, 1988Date of Patent: August 22, 1989Assignee: Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd.Inventors: Toshiro Tahara, Mikio Takahashi

Patent number: 4837713Abstract: An apparatus for warming up an automatic developing system in which the warming time required for heating a treating liquid up to a predetermined temperature is computed on the basis of sensed treating liquid temperature and the ambient air temperature, and the warming operation is commenced at a time which is obtained by subtracting the computed time length from a set time at which the automatic developing system is to be started, so that the warming is completed by the time at which the developing system is to be started, thus enabling the user to start the treatment of a photosensitive material at the expected time.Type: GrantFiled: April 9, 1987Date of Patent: June 6, 1989Assignee: Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd.Inventors: Toshiro Tahara, Hideo Iwasaki

Patent number: 4719484Abstract: A photosensitive material guide structure for use in a developing apparatus adapted to develop a photosensitive material having been subjected to light exposure has at least one pair of feed rollers which feed forward the photosensitive material while clamping it therebetween within the developing apparatus. Both axial end portions of at least one of the pair of feed rollers are reduced in diameter. Accordingly, when the rollers clamp the photosensitive material to feed it, both the lateral edge portions of the photosensitive material are subjected to a clamping force which is weaker than that applied to the other portion of the material.Type: GrantFiled: August 6, 1986Date of Patent: January 12, 1988Assignee: Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd.Inventors: Toshiro Tahara, Kaoru Uchiyama, Seiichi Yamazaki, Kiichiro Sakamoto

Patent number: 4693016Abstract: A drying apparatus for drying photographic paper includes a rotary drum and a duct having a recess which is provided with air outlet bores. A photographic paper passing area is defined between the outer periphery of the drum and the recess of the duct. The warm air blown out of the air outlet bores presses the side (the reverse side) of the photographic paper which is opposite to the emulsion layer side thereof against the outer periphery of the rotary drum, thereby maintaining the emulsion layer side of the paper in a non-contact state while the paper is being transported. The rotary drum is provided with bores through which the warm air is sucked in so as to suction-hold the photographic paper on the outer periphery of the rotary drum, whereby the photographic paper is also heated from the reverse side thereof.Type: GrantFiled: April 14, 1986Date of Patent: September 15, 1987Assignee: Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd.Inventors: Seiichi Yamazaki, Kaoru Uchiyama, Toshiro Tahara

Patent number: 4662554Abstract: A clip 12 is engaged with the leading end portion of a photosensitive material 10 of continuous length which has been printed with images. The clip is propelled by a driving force to convey the photosensitive material. In a clip removing device 56, rotating arms 66 bend the leading end portion of the photosensitive material in the direction of the thickness thereof such that the leading end portion is disengaged from the clip. The photosensitive material is then fed by rollers 72, 74, 80, 82 to a subsequent stage 87 where it is cut off.Type: GrantFiled: April 22, 1985Date of Patent: May 5, 1987Assignee: Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd.Inventors: Seiichi Yamazaki, Kaoru Uchiyama, Toshiro Tahara
