  • Patent number: 7321976
Abstract: A representative computer requests performing a power-down process to other computer and notifies each of other computers of a next power-up date and time each time a power-down date and time comes, and has each power supply control device to enter the date and time. Each time a power-up date and time comes, the representative computer powered up and activated by its own power supply control device normally instructs each power supply control device of each of other computers. However, if the representative computer cannot be activated for any reason, each power supply control device powers up its own computer when the entered next power-up date and time comes.

  • Publication number: 20050021641
Abstract: A program that helps a server process receive responses from an operator. A computer server stores ready replies in a ready reply memory when receiving the ready replies from a client over a network, the ready replies each including two elements a reply message for specifying an inquiry and reply data to be used as a response. When the service process issues an inquiry, the server compares the message of the inquiry with the reply message of a ready reply being stored in the ready reply memory. When the messages match, the computer server gives the reply data of the ready reply to the service process as a response to the inquiry.

  • Publication number: 20040107239
Abstract: An inquiry, support program that helps a server receive instructions from an operator, reducing the possibilities for the operator to return a wrong response. When a service process issues an inquiry to the operator, the server stores the inquiry in an inquiry buffer (step S1). The server receives a first delivery request from a first client on the network, which causes the inquiry pending in the inquiry buffer to be retrieved and sent to the first client over the network (step S2). At the first client, the operator answers the inquiry. Upon receipt of the reply from the first client, the server passes it to the requesting service process, as well as storing the original inquiry and corresponding reply in a log memory (step S3). When a second delivery request is received from a second client on the network, the server retrieves log records from the log memory and sends them to the requesting second client (step S4).

  • Publication number: 20020054143
Abstract: An apparatus and method for handling messages output to a computer console, including easy and accurate definition of message handling procedures. The apparatus includes a response definition unit that dynamically selects a console message, receives definition information pertaining thereto, and stores the information in a storage unit. The received definition information defines at least a portion of a predetermined procedure to be executed in response to the selected message. The selected message may be displayed on a display unit in a message selection window. The received definition information may be entered through a definition window. When the selected message is reported to the apparatus, a response execution unit, coupled to the storage unit, executes the predetermined procedure.
