  • Patent number: 5603202
Abstract: A machine for wrapping an article with a belt-like wrapping material of film, synthetic resin laminate or the like, includes a folding and opening unit having a length about a half of the wrapping material. The unit comprises an inverting guide, a raising guide, and a folding guide. The inverting guide has a straight inverting and guiding section transversely crossing the wrapping material at a right angle and a virtually straight slant guiding section connected with one end of the inverting and guiding section and inclined by about 45.degree.. The raising guide is included in a fixed horizontal plane defined by the inverting guide and crosses a meeting point of both guiding sections at a right angle for raising the wrapping material at about a right angle.

  • Patent number: 5444964
Abstract: The object of this invention is to provide an automatic package machine comprises a roll of wrapping film, a film opener for opening the film, which is drawn from the roll, into such a shape that the film can wrap an article to be wrapped, a conveyer for introducing the article, which is to be wrapped, into the opening of the film opened by the film opener, and a sealing unit situated contiguously to a downstream end of the conveyer for sealing edge portions of the film opening. The sealing unit includes a heater body, a fusing and sealing blade projecting from one end of the heater body, being vertically adjustable solely or together with the heater body, and being penetrable into the edge portions of the film opening parallel to a travelling path of the film, and two pairs of upper and lower feed rollers situated upstream and downstream, respectively, of the fusing and sealing blade. The fusing and sealing blade has along at least its upstream side edge a cutting edge.

  • Patent number: 5235792
Abstract: The blocking troubles due to the static electricity can be completely removed in the opening of the prefolded film. In a continuous packaging machine according to this invention; A web of a synthetic resin packaging material prefolded along the longitudinal direction thereof is fed under a predetermined tension through one or more guide rollers into a film opening mechanism. The prefolded film is opened in the film opening mechanism and is simultaneously inverted and formed into a substantially lateral U-shaped cross section. After package articles are successively transferred into the opened inner parts of the lateral U-shaped synthetic resin packaging film, the opening of the synthetic resin packaging film in the periphery of the package articles is automatically sealed in the automatic sealing section.

  • Patent number: 5001884
Abstract: A packaging machine of the type, in which products are inserted into the gap between two halves of center-folded film. The machine comprises two sealers. The first sealer cuts and heat-seals the center-folded film along a line extending at right angles to the fold of the film, thereby forming a bag containing a product. The second sealer heat-seals each bag at the open side thereof which extends parallel to the fold of the film. The machine further comprises a clamper and an evacuator. The clamper clamps the open side of the bag before the bag is sealed completely. The removes air from the bag through the clamper before the bag is sealed completely.
