Publication number: 20070047588Abstract: A communication system is formed with a master unit having a communication function and at least one slave unit also having a communication function connected by a network including a bus. Repeater units are inserted on the network between the master unit and the slave unit in one or more stages. As the master unit transmits request frames downstream through the network to the slave unit, the slave unit control the timing of transmitting the response frames in response successively such that the master unit receives the response frames without waiting in between regardless of repeater delay times of each of the returned response frames determined by the number of stages of the repeater units. Each communication frame that is transmitted through the network contains identification data indicative of its type and each repeater unit serves to repeat certain types of received frames only in the upstream direction.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 30, 2006Publication date: March 1, 2007Inventors: Masao Koga, Masanori Fujikawa, Toshiyuki Ozaki

Patent number: 7119514Abstract: An inverter has a measuring part that measures an operating time such as the time interval from when a command to start a specified operation by an associated system until a signal indicating the completion of the operation is received. A comparing part compares this measured operating time with a threshold value stored in a memory and an abnormal condition is reported to a host system, depending on the result of the comparison.Type: GrantFiled: January 18, 2006Date of Patent: October 10, 2006Assignee: Omron CorporationInventors: Hiroshi Shimizu, Junichi Ueno, Kimikazu Kubo, Takashi Asai, Masakazu Komatsu, Yasuyuki Tagano, Toshiyuki Ozaki

Patent number: 6618401Abstract: A tunable laser source changes the resonator length of an external resonator, which is constituted including a laser diode and a diffraction grating, by a driver controlled by a drive control section, to continuously or intermittently vary the wavelength of an emitted light from a start wavelength to a stop wavelength that are desired. A point wavelength information setting section sets the point wavelength information representing the positional information of the driver that corresponds to each resonator length of the external resonator regarding the start wavelength, the stop wavelength and a plurality of the wavelengths obtained by dividing a period between the start wavelength and the stop wavelength into arbitrary steps. An emitted wavelength information detecting section detects emitted wavelength information corresponding to the wavelength of the emitted light from the tunable laser source.Type: GrantFiled: October 31, 2001Date of Patent: September 9, 2003Assignee: Anritsu CorporationInventors: Takao Tanimoto, Toshiyuki Ozaki, Masanori Takizawa

Patent number: 4927266Abstract: In an optical signal generating apparatus of this invention, output light from a light source driven by a light source driver is externally output from an optical receptacle through a variable optical attenuator. An output monitor unit can be detachably connected to the optical receptacle through an optical connector. When an absolute level of the output light is to be set, a CPU compares a set value from an output level setting unit with an output value from the output monitor unit and controls the variable optical attenuator and the light source driver so that a comparison error becomes zero. The CPU maintains the above control of the variable optical adjuster and the light source driver so that the light is output to be the desired level set by the output level setting unit even after the output monitor unit is disconnected from the optical receptacle including the timing at which the comparison error becomes zero.Type: GrantFiled: November 29, 1988Date of Patent: May 22, 1990Assignee: Anritsu CorporationInventors: Itsuo Sugiura, Yutaka Nishida, Kaoru Ito, Toshiyuki Ozaki
