  • Patent number: 6494696
Abstract: A scroll compressor comprising: a vessel; a compressing mechanism provided within said vessel, the compressing mechanism comprising an orbiting scroll and a non-orbiting scroll each having a spiral wrap formed in a base plate and an Oldham ring for preventing the orbiting scroll from rotating around its axis; an oil reservoir provided within a vessel; a crankshaft for transmitting a power for compressing a working fluid; and a frame on which a main bearing for supporting the crankshaft is provided, wherein the crankshaft is provided with oil supply passages for communicating a vicinity of an orbiting bearing and a vicinity of the main bearing, and openings of the oil supply passages in the vicinity of the orbiting bearing and in the vicinity of the main bearing are positioned so that a pressure of an oil film in the orbiting bearing opening generated during an operation of the compressor is higher than a pressure of an oil film in the-main bearing opening generated during an operation of the compressor.

  • Patent number: 6345967
Abstract: The invention provides a scroll type fluid machine in which a performance is improved by improving assembling accuracy and reliability is improved by giving strength to wraps. The scroll type fluid machine is provided with an orbiting scroll having an end plate and a wrap stood on the end plate, and a fixed scroll having an end plate and a wrap stood on the end plate and structured such that a motion within a surface perpendicular to an axial direction is restricted, thereby reducing or expanding a volume formed by engaging the wraps of the fixed scroll and the orbiting scroll with each other so as to close between both of the scrolls. In the scroll type fluid machine, a side surface clearance formed between both of the wraps is formed to be smaller in a range between a central winding start point of the wrap and a section close to a center of the wrap than in a range between the section close to the center of the wrap and a section close to an outer periphery of the wrap.

  • Patent number: 6301912
Abstract: A heat pump apparatus comprising: a scroll compressor including an orbiting scroll member in which a spiral wrap is formed on a first base plate, and an non-orbiting scroll member in which a spiral wrap is formed on a second base plate and a back pressure chamber for introducing pressure into a side of the orbiting scroll member or the non-orbiting scroll member opposite to a compression chamber formed by the orbiting and non-orbiting scroll members; a heat-exchanger; an expansion device; device for detecting a consumption power of the heat pump apparatus or the compressor; and device for changing the pressure in the back pressure chamber in accordance with an output from the detecting device.

  • Patent number: 6203290
Abstract: A closed-type electrically-driven compressor comprising a compressing mechanism portion and an electric motor portion driving the compressing mechanism portion within a closed container, which is formed to be substantially cylindrical, and a terminal fitted into a hole formed in a cover body of the closed container and welded to the cover body, and wherein a mount portion and vicinities of the terminal on the cover body of the closed container are formed into a convex-shaped portion which is protuberant from a peripheral flat portion of the cover body.
