BUILDING PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS (BPA) MACHINE: MACHINE LEARNING TO ACCELERATE BUILDING ENERGY ANALYSIS
Publication number: 20220156438Abstract: A method and system generate a building operational performance analysis output. A synthetic data set is generated and includes a set of 3D building conceptual mass geometries. The generating includes identifying geometry types, dividing the geometry types into categories, and algorithmically generating the mass geometries using a separate workflow for each category using generative design. Analytical models associated with each of the mass geometries are generated. Simulation results are generated for each of the analytical models. A surrogate model is trained based on a set of features extracted from the simulation results using machine learning (ML). The ML iteratively determines the set of features based on a measured accuracy of the surrogate model. Geometry input is received and processed through the surrogate model to generate the building operational performance analysis output which is then used to inform a designer of an approximate Energy Use Intensity of the geometry input.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 16, 2021Publication date: May 19, 2022Applicant: Autodesk, Inc.Inventors: Mohammad Rahmani Asl, Zachary Micah Kron, Varvara Toulkeridou, Michael Travis Floyd, Ian Molloy, Vishal Vaidhyanathan, Graceline R. Publication number: 20050190571Abstract: The subject invention relates to automotive head lamp assemblies with a low beam unit and a high beam unit. In an exemplary embodiment, the low beam unit and high beam unit is connected to one another by an adjuster bracket. The adjuster bracket allows for two ball studs to interact with the adjuster bracket. The first ball stud interacts with the adjuster bracket and high beam reflector so that the high beam reflector's vertical axis can be adjusted to make it parallel to the vertical axis of the low beam reflector. The second ball stud interacts with the adjuster bracket and low beam reflector so that both the low beam reflector and high beam reflector are adjusted vertically at the same time and in the same direction.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 27, 2004Publication date: September 1, 2005Applicant: Guide CorporationInventors: Phillip Watson, Jo Broshar, Travis Floyd
