  • Patent number: 11877783
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to an instrument for pacing, mapping, sensing, and/or ablating cardiac tissue that includes an electrogram filtering circuit. To supply radio frequency energy, the disclosed instruments are only optionally connected to a radio frequency generator. When connected to a generator, the electrogram filtering circuit can be provided in a handle of the instrument, or in a connector, for example, to protect the instrument from potentially high-powered radio frequency energy. Alternatively, various disclosed embodiments are capable of pacing/sensing as a standalone device. The connector can be provided separately from both the instrument and the generator. In some embodiments, the electrogram filtering circuit is adaptive to suit a variety of generators.

  • Publication number: 20220278979
Abstract: A mobile secure agent on a wireless device executes one or more authenticated data collection profiles provisioned by a private profile producer. Each data package can only be transmitted to a collector certificated by the same private profile producer. Update profiles are signed and provisioned through a tunnel initiated from the mobile secure agent. A Certificate Authority provides libraries, anchors, and certificates in a key management message module to each mobile secure agent which enables revocation and replacement of certificates. Data stored in this way on a wireless device may only be transmitted in encrypted form to an authenticated destination.

  • Publication number: 20220218242
Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and apparatus for making a determination whether a blood sample is, or is not, infected with a malaria parasite. The determination is made using a trained machine-learning (ML) algorithm. In some aspects, a microfluidic chip is used for the concentration of red blood cells infected with these parasites from uninfected red blood cells, the staining of the blood sample which differentially stains infected and uninfected red blood cells, and holds the sample of interest for imaging. The microfluidic chip is inserted into an optical subsystem that magnifies the image created from transmitted light microscopy. The magnified image is captured with a camera, and a trained ML algorithm assesses if the sample does or does not contain the parasite. Generally, the ML algorithm is executed on a portable computing device such as a smartphone.

  • Patent number: 10795694
Abstract: A method and system provides a data services application that is highly scalable and modifiable without great risk of damaging the application. The method and system stores in a routing library in accordance with a browserless runtime environment, a plurality of route files each defining a data communication route between a data services application and a data source. The method and system stores, in accordance with the browserless runtime environment, application source code for the data services application. The application source code includes a callout to each route file in the routing library. Routes can be added by adding a new route file to the routing library and by adding a single line of code to the source code of the application.

  • Publication number: 20200290039
Abstract: Disclosed herein are devices and methods for measuring the effect of chemokines and electric fields on cell migration. This approach is inherently non-contact and does not require injection of current. For example, disclosed herein is a device for assessing cell migration that comprises a cell migration chamber and an electromagnet positioned to produce a uniform electric field across the length of the chamber. Also disclosed is a method for assaying a cell that involves loading cells into the disclosed device along with a chemokine in an amount to produce a chemokine gradient, activating the electromagnet to produce an electric field across the cell migration chamber, and imaging the cells to measure the dual effect of the chemokine and the electric field on the cells.
