  • Publication number: 20240183222
Abstract: Ladder configurations and components are provided including a first assembly of rails and a second assembly of rails that are pivotable relative to each other between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration. A handle coupled to a rail extends inward from the rail and has an inner end resiliently deflectable between a clearance position and a weight bearing position that engages another rail as the ladder is carried by the handle. A spreader mechanism includes a platform extending between jointed linkages and that extends the top surface of a rung coupled to two of the rails. An inner end of the platform may be used as a handle to expand or collapse the ladder. The platform may be extruded and assembled with the rung in a manner limiting pinching or gaps at an interface between the platform and the rung.

  • Publication number: 20240183220
Abstract: Ladder configurations and components are provided including a first assembly of rails and a second assembly of rails that are pivotable relative to each other between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration. A tray rotatably connected to a top cap of the ladder may include a convertible compartment, a pair of clamps, attachment points, and a ferromagnetic component. The tray may be rotatable relative to the top cap by operation of an adjustment member that locks or unlocks the tray. Rotation of the tray may position the tray in an upright position substantially parallel to the first assembly of rails and in a storage position substantially parallel to and behind the first assembly of rails.

  • Patent number: 12000211
Abstract: Embodiments of ladders and adjustable trays are provided herein. In accordance with one embodiment, a ladder includes a first pair of spaced apart rails having one or more rungs extending between and coupled with the first pair of spaced apart rails. A top cap is coupled with the first pair of spaced apart rails. A second pair of spaced apart rails is coupled with the first pair of rails via a pair of hinges. A tray is hingedly coupled with the top cap and selectively positioned between a first deployed position and a stored position, wherein when the tray is in the stored position the tray extends downwards from the top cap towards the pair of hinges.

  • Patent number: 8528945
Abstract: A pipe coupling for coupling adjacent ends of a pair of pipes includes a sleeve, a split-ring gland positioned around one of the ends of the sleeve, and an annular gasket positioned within the split-ring gland and configured to be compressed by the split-ring gland for sealing one pipe end to the sleeve. The split-ring gland includes two partially circular gland members with spaced ends defining a gap, which is spanned by an armor positioned in the gap to provide a generally closed annular periphery about the gasket. The armor includes a corrugated portion engaging the gasket during compression. The gasket includes a pressure assist slot configured to receive pressurized fluid leaking from the pipes and a plurality of cross grooves ensuring continued fluid communication with the pressure assist slot. The gasket also includes ribs engaging the split-ring gland and the armor to reduce or eliminate added lubrication necessary.
