  • Patent number: 11880358
Abstract: In one embodiment, a device receives, from a requestor, a query function that queries a dataset and an intended use schema associated with the query function. The device determines, using a policy ruleset, whether the intended use schema falls within an available schema for the dataset. The device executes the query function on the dataset to form a result data, when the intended use schema falls within the available schema for the dataset. The device provides the result data to the requestor.

  • Patent number: 11835164
Abstract: A device, that can attach near a distal end of a cord, has a receptacle therein for removably further attaching the device to the cord itself. Thus, a cord on a tool, for example, can be wrapped around the tool or a cord storage area of the tool and the end of the cord can be removably clipped onto the cord itself, thus removing the need to wrap or tie the end of the cord while keeping the cord from tangling or unwrapping. Typically, the device is permanently affixed to the cord, near its distal end. Various means can be used to secure the device to the cord, including adhesive, a locking mechanism, friction, or combinations thereof.

  • Publication number: 20230081545
Abstract: In one embodiment, a data sharing platform performs a series of data operations to provide different types of data via different sharing services of the data sharing platform that are derived from data shared by a particular data owner. The data sharing platform generates tag data associated with the particular data owner for one or more of the series of data operations. The data sharing platform determines, based on the tag data, an attribution chain that links the data shared by the particular data owner to the different types of data provided via the different sharing services. The data sharing platform sends an indication of the attribution chain for display.

  • Publication number: 20220328943
Abstract: A marine battery pack including a battery enclosure having an exterior and an interior defining a cavity, wherein the battery enclosure is configured to protect against water ingress into the cavity. The marine battery pack further comprises a plurality of cell modules within the cavity, each including a plurality of battery cells, and at least one exterior sensor on the battery enclosure configured to sense at least one of an exterior temperature, an exterior pressure, and a presence of water on the exterior of the battery enclosure. A controller is configured to identify a water exposure event based on the at least one of the exterior temperature, the exterior pressure, and the presence of water on the exterior of the battery enclosure. • Patent number: 11459078
Abstract: A propeller device has a propeller hub which is elongated along the rotational axis and a propeller blade which radially extends from the propeller hub. The propeller hub and propeller blade are configured so that when the propeller device is forwardly rotated, a first portion of the propeller hub on a first side of the propeller blade encounters a positive pressure and a second portion of the propeller hub on an opposite, second side of the blade encounters a relatively lower pressure or suction, and further so that when the propeller device is reversely rotated, the second portion of the propeller hub encounters a positive pressure and the first portion of the propeller hub encounters a relatively lower pressure or suction. An exhaust vent hole is located in the first portion of the propeller hub and configured to vent exhaust gases from the marine drive via the propeller hub as the propeller device is reversely rotated, thereby enhancing reverse thrust performance of the propeller device.

  • Patent number: 10875615
Abstract: A method of making a propeller includes forming the propeller to have blades coupled to an outer hub, the outer hub coupled to an inner hub via ribs, and the inner hub configured to be coupled to the marine vessel. The ribs each have first and second ends with a midpoint therebetween, an inner end and an outer end that define a width therebetween, and a leading surface and a trailing surface that define a thickness therebetween. The ribs are tapered such that the thickness is greater at the midpoint than at least at one of the first end and the second end, and scalloped such that the width is greater at the midpoint than at least at one of the first end and the second end. Each of the ribs is coupled to the outer hub in radial alignment with one of the blades.

  • Patent number: 10190529
Abstract: A marine engine has a cylinder block having a plurality of cylinders. A cooling jacket is formed in the cylinder block and is configured to convey cooling fluid alongside the plurality of cylinders. The cooling jacket has a top end and a bottom end. A ledge is formed in the cylinder block. The ledge radially extends into cooling jacket at a location between the top end and the bottom end. A spacer is disposed in the cooling jacket and supported by the ledge so that the spacer remains spaced apart from the bottom end, thereby maintaining a lower cooling passage between the spacer and the bottom end.

  • Patent number: 10092863
Abstract: A filter for a water cooling system in a marine drive includes a cavity having an upper side and a lower side, a water inlet that delivers a water flow into the cavity, and a water outlet that delivers water out of the cavity. The flow velocity of water within the cavity is low such that heavy debris sinks toward the lower side of the cavity and buoyant debris floats toward the upper side of the cavity. An upper debris outlet expels the buoyant debris out of the cavity and a lower debris outlet expels the heavy debris out of the cavity.

  • Patent number: 9920680
Abstract: A cooling system for a marine engine has a cooling jacket disposed in thermal communication with a heat-emitting portion of the marine engine. The cooling jacket has a water inlet, and a water outlet on an upper portion of the cooling jacket. A pump is connected in fluid communication with the water inlet and/or the water outlet that causes water to flow through the cooling jacket in order to cool the heat-emitting portion, wherein a flow velocity of water in the cooling jacket is low such that debris sinks to a lower portion of the cooling jacket. A debris outlet is in the lower portion of the cooling jacket that expels the debris from the cooling jacket.

  • Publication number: 20170328265
Abstract: An open loop cooling water system is for a marine engine. A cooling water inlet receives cooling water from a body of water. A cooling water outlet discharges the cooling water back to the body of water. A cooling water circuit conveys cooling water from the cooling water inlet, through the marine engine, and to the cooling water outlet. A cooling water pump that pumps cooling water from upstream to downstream through the cooling water circuit. A recirculation pump that is located in the cooling water circuit downstream of at least one component of the marine engine and upstream of the cooling water outlet. The recirculation pump is configured to pump cooling water from downstream of the marine engine back into the cooling water circuit upstream of the marine engine. Methods are for cooling a marine engine using an open loop cooling system.

  • Patent number: 9650937
Abstract: A system for cooling an engine of a marine propulsion system having an engine and having a cylinder block. An exhaust manifold that conveys hot exhaust gases from the engine and a pump that pumps water from a body of water are also present in the system. A water jacket surrounding the exhaust manifold conveys water from the pump along at least one stream of water having a cross sectional area for cooling the hot exhaust gases in the exhaust manifold. At least one portion of the water jacket includes at least one converging passageway including a wall of the water jacket that tapers inwardly to reduce the cross-sectional area of the stream of water as the water circulates in the water jacket. The pumped water typically has entrained air in the form of air pockets. The converging passageway reduces the air pockets present in the water to provide even cooling of the manifold.
