  • Publication number: 20150081356
Abstract: Technologies are generally described for providing dynamic report views of multi-dimensional business data. An enterprise resource planning (ERP) system may facilitate data collection of user requested data for a dimension, such as a time interval, and presentation of the data in a data report. The data report may initially display an initial granularity of the data displaying the requested dimension. During data collection for the requested data, multiple dimensions of data related to the requested data may also be collected, and the data for the additional dimensions may be rendered in the background to enable the data to be dynamically presented in the report upon request by a user without having to retrieve new data. The user may select to view one or more additional intervals of data on the initial data report, and the data report may automatically refresh to display the selected data intervals.

  • Publication number: 20070203934
Abstract: A computer-implemented method and system are provided for retrieving a metadata instance defining at least part of an application. In the method, a first metadata instance is loaded. Then, one or more templates specified in the first metadata instance are identified. The identified templates are recursively loaded, and metadata from the first metadata instance is applied to the recursively loaded templates to produce a new metadata instance. The new metadata instance is returned.

  • Publication number: 20070203956
Abstract: A computer-implemented method of obtaining a metadata instance defining at least part of a customized application includes loading a baseline metadata instance for the application. At least one diffgram corresponding to a customization of the baseline metadata instance for the application is obtained. Then at least one diffgram is applied to generate the metadata instance defining at least part of the customized application from the baseline metadata instance and at least one diffgram.

  • Publication number: 20060277480
Abstract: A system that facilitates communication between user interface components (or parts) that transmit information in incompatible formats is provided. The system includes an adapter that receives information in an information communication format of any one of the parts, and transforms the received information into an information communication format of any other one of the parts, thereby facilitating communication between the different parts.

  • Publication number: 20060271866
Abstract: A computer-implemented method supports a parts-based user interface. The method includes functionally establishing a part-to-part communication channel between a faceless part and a visible part. The communication channel is made by way of a standard communication interface through which the visible part is configured to communicate with other visible parts.

  • Publication number: 20060271771
Abstract: Tagging of exceptions is disclosed. An apparatus for tagging exceptions includes a processor adapted to execute program code instructions. Memory is coupled to the processor and contains program code. The processor is configured to generate an exception object when an abnormal condition occurs with respect to execution of at least one of the program code instructions. The processor then sets a unique identifier relative to the object related to the at least one of the program code instruction. A method and data structure for tagging exceptions are also provided.
