  • Patent number: 5173036
Abstract: A fluid driven linear motor with a piston (4) in a cylinder (5) is supplied with driving fluid under the control of a sliding valve device (8) having a slide (9) being moved between its terminal positions and being retained therein by means of the driving fluid. A pilot rod (22) connected to the piston (4) controls the supply of driving fluid to the respective sides of the slide (9). The pilot rod (22) is slidingly received in a cavity (12) in the slide and has sections (23-25) of reduced diameter which act as valves in certain positions.

  • Patent number: 4581142
Abstract: A cyclone separator or hydrocyclone with good separation efficiency and large capacity comprises a substantially cylindrical or slightly conical hollow body (1), the lower part of which terminates in an outlet opening (6) for liquid enriched with respect to solid particles, and in which the outlet (7) for purified liquid is defined between a centrally arranged body (11) and a guiding tube (2), and in which the liquid to be purified is introduced via a particularly designed nozzle (13).

  • Patent number: 4316725
Abstract: A method for deaerating liquids, especially water, where liquid is introduced into a vacuum zone containing liquid distributing means, and where said liquid after deaeration is conveyed out from said zone is improved in that said water in said vacuum zone is ejected toward at least one vertical impingement surface of a porous material, whereby foaming is counteracted, and is directed via said porous material toward an outlet from said vacuum zone. An apparatus for carrying out said method comprises a casing (1) connected with an evacuation system (16,17,18,19), means (8) for introducing a liquid, e.g. water, into said casing and an outlet (15) for discharging treated liquid, and is characterized in that at least one vertical impingement surface of a porous material (6,11) preventing foaming is provided within said casing (1) as well as means (9) being provided for applying a liquid on the porous surface (6,11).

  • Patent number: 4231870
Abstract: A process for regeneration of a filter medium is provided according to which the filter medium is treated with a liquid which breaks down deposited organic materials on the filter medium. The preferred liquid for regeneration of the filter medium is concentrated sulphuric acid.

  • Patent number: 4127362
Abstract: A piston pump includes a fluid flow control system positioned between the fluid intake duct and the intake aperture of the piston cylinder, the control system including a cylindrical sleeve which is in fluid communication with the intake duct, a valve piston movable in the cylindrical sleeve, a valve stem connected to the intake valve in the piston cylinder extending through both the intake aperture and the valve piston, a first spring positioned between the valve piston and the piston cylinder, a second spring positioned between the piston cylinder and the end of the valve stem, and a fluid by-pass control device for regulating the amount of fluid passing from the intake duct around the valve piston to the intake aperture.
