  • Publication number: 20220235873
Abstract: A vacuum sewage system includes a check valve having a body, a sealing member and a cover. The body includes a housing. The sealing member has a first section and a central section connected to the first section. The central section of the sealing member has a sealing surface. The cover has an interior chamber, a connector having a passageway in communication with the interior chamber, and a front wall having a central section. The central section of the front wall has a sealing surface. The central section of the sealing member is moveable from a first position in which the sealing surface of the sealing member is in contact with the sealing surface of the central section of the front wall of the cover to a second position in which the sealing surface of the central section of the sealing member is spaced apart from the sealing surface of the central section of the front wall of the cover.

  • Patent number: 11299878
Abstract: A vacuum sewage system includes a sump pit for receiving sewage, a valve pit, a valve, a sensor-controller, a first sensor pipe, a sump breather and a second sensor pipe. The sensor-controller activates the valve so as to discharge sewage from the sump pit. The first sensor pipe communicates pressure to the sensor-controller as the level of sewage rises within the sump pit. The second sensor pipe communicates pressure to the sump breather to move the sump breather from a first state to a second state to prevent sewage from entering the sensor-controller and valve. Alternatively, the system may be provided with a single sensor pipe that communicates pressure to both the sensor-controller and to the sump breather.

  • Patent number: 10001787
Abstract: A controller for a vacuum sewage system includes a housing having multiple chambers. Certain chambers are maintained under atmospheric pressure or vacuum prior to activation of the controller. Ports, valves, orifices and air flow paths located in the housing control the rate of air flow between groups of the chambers during activation of the controller.

  • Patent number: 9523449
Abstract: A pipe coupling that clamps onto an area adjacent the ends of abutting pipes. The pipe coupling includes first and second clamp members, and a fastener. The first clamp member is hinged to the second clamp member. Both the first and second clamp members are configured to pivotally wrap around a pipe. Each of the first and second clamp members also includes an arched hub portion configured such that when each of the clamp members engages each other the arched hub portions form an arcuate hub. The fastener is configured to couple the arched hub portions together thereby preventing the clamp members from opening.

  • Patent number: 5446617
Abstract: A ballast circuit enclosure and grounding structure for electrically grounding a ballast circuit to a housing and for capturing transmitted RFI and EMI therefrom. The ballast circuit enclosure includes an elongate housing for receiving and surrounding the ballast circuit. End caps are attached to the housing opposite open ends in closing engagement with the housing. The end caps are fastened to the housing with fastening members extending through holes in the end caps and into elongate channels formed on the inside of the housing. The ballast circuit board rests on elongate abutment shoulders within the housing and is sandwiched between the abutment shoulders and longitudinal walls forming the elongate channels. A grounding wire on the edge of the circuit board is coupled to the ballast circuit and is in electrical contact with the fastening member and/or the channel forming elongate wall of the housing.
