    Abstract: Provided are a disinfectant capable of maintaining a bactericidal effect over an extended period of time even in a place where light is not present, capable of reducing the production cost, and exhibiting high biocompatibility, an anti-infective fibrous material, an anti-infective fibrous product, a method for producing the same, and an apparatus for producing the same. A disinfectant according to one aspect of the present invention is a disinfectant containing titanium dioxide that adsorbs silver ions. The disinfectant further comprises an aqueous resin binder to which a thermosetting crosslinking agent is applied; the disinfectant has biocompatibility; the titanium dioxide has a particle size of nm or more and 1 ?m or less and a weight distribution of particles, having a particle size of 100 nm or less, of less than 0.3%; and the disinfectant does not exhibit environmental toxicity caused by nanoparticles.
