  • Patent number: 8667120
Abstract: The number of response-waiting requests which are already sent to a server (4) but to which a response is not yet returned from the server (4) is limited. To limit this number, received requests are temporarily accumulated in a buffer if the number of response-waiting requests has reached a threshold and, until the number of response-waiting requests falls below the threshold, requests are not sent from the buffer. The execution status of the server (4) is monitored, and the threshold is increased when the response time from the server (4) to a request is within an allowable range, and the threshold is decreased when the response time exceeds the allowable range. In addition, TCP connections between a load control device (3) and clients (1-1, . . . , 1-n) are aggregated so that the number of simultaneous connections of TCP connections between the server (4) and the load control device (3) becomes equal to or smaller than the threshold of the number of response-waiting requests.

  • Patent number: 7305010
Abstract: In order to make the client host capable of learning an accounting information or an authentication failure information, the accounting information or the authentication failure reason is notified from the routing device 2 to the client host 3, by adding an information regarding the accounting or an information regarding a reason for the authentication failure of the client host 3, to a packet of a protocol based on IGMP or MLD which is a multicast control packet between the client host 3 and the router device 2.

  • Patent number: 7249194
Abstract: IPoE/PPPoE forwarding table 106 is provided with which registered are network addresses, protocol types, destination IP addresses used in IPoE and retrieval indexes of PPPoE sessions used in PPPoE, a protocol type is selected corresponding to a network address in IPoE/PPPoE forwarding table 106 that matches a destination IP address included in header information of an IP packet of an input frame, and when the selected protocol type is PPPoE, a PPPoE session is further selected from a retrieval index corresponding to the network address.

  • Patent number: 6853640
Abstract: A data selection apparatus which performs selection processes in parallel is provided. The data selection apparatus includes search units and a unit output control device. Each of the search units includes table search circuits and a data output control circuit which selects the highest priority output data. The unit output control device selects the highest priority output data from outputs of the search units. A table search circuit which succeeds in a search sends a search success signal to the data output control circuit. The search unit including the data output control circuit sends a unit search success signal to the unit output control device before performing a selection process for the highest priority data.
