  • Publication number: 20060207940
Abstract: An adsorption apparatus has a column having an adsorbent filling space filled with an adsorbent. The adsorbent has a surface and its vicinity mainly comprises an apatite which is represented by the formula (Ca1-aMa)10(PO4)6((OH)1-bXb)2, where the M represents at least one kind of rare earth metal elements, the X represents at least one kind of halogen elements, 0<a?1, and 0?b?1. Preferably, the M comprises a lanthanoid-based metal element mainly comprises Sm, and the ratio of Sm is no less than 70% to the total amount of the M. This ensures that an object compound having a portion capable of bonding to the M with a high affinity is specifically bonded to the adsorbent. As a result, the adsorbent can exhibit high selectivity with respect to such a compound.

  • Patent number: 7089079
Abstract: A sewing machine of the present disclosure is provided with a sewing device capable of pattern sewing by controlling a needle swinging mechanism that swings a vertically reciprocating needle bar in a horizontal direction and a cloth feeding mechanism having a feed dog, a controller that controls the sewing device and a memory that stores sewing data supplied externally via a data transmitting network or a data storage media. The aforementioned controller determines whether or not the pattern to be sewn based on the sewing data loaded from the memory can be sewn by the sewing device and upon determining that sewing is not possible, the sewing data is modified to a pattern that can be sewn by the sewing device.

  • Patent number: 7085617
Abstract: A control unit for controlling an embroidery sewing machine includes an embroidery-data storing portion, a feed-data extracting portion, and a thread-cutting-data adding portion. The embroidery-data storing portion stores embroidery data defining an embroidery pattern sewn by a sewing portion and a workpiece feeding portion. The embroidery data includes stitch data indicating needle drop positions for forming stitches on a workpiece and feed data indicating feed positions for feeding the workpiece. The feed-data extracting portion extracts the feed data from the embroidery data read from the embroidery-data storing portion. The thread-cutting-data adding portion adds thread cutting data immediately prior to the feed data extracted by the feed-data extracting portion. The thread cutting data instructs a thread cutting portion to perform thread cutting.

  • Patent number: 6032595
Abstract: An electronically controlled sewing machine has a liquid crystal display as well as a needle bar rocking mechanism for driving a needle bar to which a needle is attached, a thread take-up lever driving mechanism, a needle thread catcher and so on. One of three kinds of animation information stored in a message memory of the sewing machine is selectively read in, and is presented on the display according to an error message display control or a guide message display control when any error/guide message appears on the display. Therefore, even when an operator sees the display with less attention, the presented animation information attracts the operator to the display when any error/guide message appears on the display, resulting in that the operator will not miss the displayed important error/guide message.

  • Patent number: 5865134
Abstract: A sewing data converting device includes a storage means for storing sewing data used in one embroidery machine for executing a sewing operation including an embroidering operation. The sewing data is converted into another sewing data used in another embroidery machine having a data format differing from one of the one embroidery machine. Display data for the converted sewing data is originated so that the display data corresponds to a display format of the another embroidery machine.

  • Patent number: 5364520
Abstract: A packing material for capillary electrophoresis comprises capillary electrophoresis in an apparatus having a capillary column, by charging a sample into an end of the capillary column and discharging the sample from the other end of the capillary column, is conducted using a capillary column prepared by packing the column with a packing material comprising glucomannan and then forming a gel in situ from the packed glucomannan. The packing material is packed into the capillary easily and forms a homogeneous gel therein which shows no damage by formation of bubbles and the like and thus can be utilized with stability, has superior health safety and is excellent with respect to biodegradation.
