    Abstract: A fluid sample tube stand includes a stand block for vertically holding a plurality of fluid sample tubes such as blood sample tubes, and a holder support mechanism mounted on the stand block, for supporting a holder which can hold one, at a time, of the fluid sample tubes. The holder support mechanism has a pair of support arms coupled to the stand block, for holding a flange of the holder, and a horizontal support member integral with the support arms, the horizontal support member having a cavity for insertion of the flange therein. The holder support mechanism is detachably mounted on the stand block.
