  • Patent number: 7341789
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a stain resistant film that shows excellent stain resistance in a long period of time immediate after forming the film, which exhibits stain resistance in initial use (within one month after forming the film) and keeps the resistance from reduction thereof with time. A stain resistant protective film comprising (a) a base layer formed from a film-forming resin and containing a hydrophilic stain resistant agent therein, and (b) a-surface layer containing another hydrophilic stain resistant agent at least, remaining on the periphery of the surface, formed on the base layer (a).

  • Patent number: 6949278
Abstract: A water-repellent sheet has a water-repellent layer that is effectively protected from friction damage by a protective film which does not deadhere during compression bonding of the water-repellent sheet to an application surface. The protective film is easily removable after completion of compression bonding application of the water-repellent sheet to an application surface. The water-repellent sheet with a protective film contains a base layer 3 and a water-repellent layer 4 fixedly disposed on one surface of the base layer 3. A protective film 5 is bonded to the other major surface of the water-repellent layer 4. The water-repellent layer 4 contains a fluorocarbon-based polymer binder and a fluorocarbon-based resin powder dispersed in the fluorocarbon-based polymer binder and the protective film 5 is removable in such a way that a water-repellent layer 4 remains on the base layer 3 after removal of the protective film.

  • Publication number: 20040185274
Abstract: A metallic film is provided, with ease and low cost, which can suppress the dependency of the metallic appearance, the luminosity L* and the hue on the observation angle of an observer, using a commonly used metalescent inorganic pigment and a commonly used colorant without modifying the surface of the metalescent inorganic pigment. The metallic film comprises a laminate of a light-transmitting layer and a light-scattering layer, each of which has a first main surface and a second main surface and which are laminated so that the second main surface of the light-transmitting layer faces the first main surface of the light-scattering layer. The light-transmitting layer comprises a polymer and a metalescent inorganic pigment dispersed therein, and the light-scattering layer comprises a polymer and a white colorant dispersed therein.
